The young hostess at the entrance was pleasant and very welcoming in her manner. She also had a good knack of sales skills as she invited me in to have a seat inside and go through the menu instead of going through it at the entrance of the cafe. The decor is in the style of an American diner and seemed like a popular place with travellers. There is a smoking area at the rear end of the cafe which is an enclosed space. The waitress who took the order did point out about the taxes/surcharges right at the outset. The food served (slice of margherita pizza) was dissapointing. Seems like it's kept frozen until ordered and then given the microwave treatment before being served to the hungry masses. The Bintang beer was cold and the caffe latte reasonably good. This was a horrible Experience. My friends both have severe nut allergies, and ordered a milkshake with dinner, harmless you think? No. In the milkshake was a wafer stick containing 2 nuts in which they were both allergic to. Nothing written on the menu stating this was containing nuts. When I went to speak to them they offered us a free coke. After explaining to them they will be needed to go to hospital now, and could be life threatening there was nothing. They couldn’t speak English, nor understand how dangerous this was for my friends. Overall the food was disgusting, and we went through a traumatic experience right before our 8hr flight.
