Tengkleng Klewer Ibu Edi — Restaurant in Surakarta

It's almost closed, when we get there, the meat is almost in the bottom of the pan, I want it some mixed meat, believe that they will sell the usually as they do. However , when I said yes for marrow, I am not expecting they sell us almost 2x of the regular, and marrow too. They charge us each almost 40% higher than the usual price. The usual price with marrow for 2person is 120K, when we were there we were ask to pay 170K for 2. I know , marrow is extra.charge. but the basic meat is already upgraded by them.

So, next , we should ask the regular price. Not only say mix. They will add everything, to make price higher. I just forgot.

About the surrounding, tables are clean after people finished eating. The table are being stack near the wall, the individual chair is being stack too. They are not expecting another customer..

But well, just as a stall aka warung, lack of clean floor, only swept the tissue away, not even being mop or washed.

Not really a tempting stall, if it's not because of the Tengkleng interest. While we eat, a person stay Infront of the stall is always offering us what she is selling, even when we already say no. A very persistent seller.

A very popular lamb tengkleng food shop, a signature of Surakarta (Solo) City at the busy food court between Klewer Market and the Surakarta Grand Mosque. I had lunch with my wife enjoying lamb tengkleng (plus lamb meat satay and rice) served on a unique banana leaf plate, with a tapioca cracker, hot tea and hot lemon. The hot drinks needed more sugar. Absolutely the best Sate Tengkleng in town! Very delicious taste, with a cheap price! Come and taste it by your self! For you who don't know what tengkleng is, it is viscera's of a cow. Intestine, liver, everything. I know it sounds not healthy. But it is delicious af! Feel the traditional ambiance here. Served with leave plate, better feels if you eat it with your bare hands, and hear people talking in Javanese language. Mind the a little bit dirty of this place, as long as you can eat this...
