Jelajah Coffee Gili Trawangan — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

I am unsatisfied. The coffee is really good; I had a V60 and citrus coffee. But the food... is that what avocado toast with tomato should look like? There is no sauce on the bread, two differently prepared eggs, avocado without any seasoning, bread without toasting, and ketchup as a dressing instead of grilled tomatoes? I was really surprised and asked the waiter about it, but he said that it’s okay. I don’t think so.

I asked for the bill at 8:30, but the waiter said that they still hadn’t opened the cashier and brought me just a manual note (even though they are open from 7 am). He said that I needed to pay 110k for the bill, but I had only 100k banknotes and 4k. He said that it’s okay if I pay 104k instead of 200k and then getting change. Is it weird? What a find this place is! Just opened when I first arrived on Gili T a few days ago. And while the signs heralded the arrival of the “best coffee” on the island it was not until I had actually sipped my first long black that I could genuinely say this coffee is truely “up there”. I returned a few hours ago on this my last day on Gili T and saw croissants in the pastry display, and added one to my coffee order not expecting the magic that the first bite revealed. Coffee is ok. Food is also ok. They did not have avocado and not sure why they did not have smoothie bowls. The place is very nice. They have AC on the inside. The only thing I did not like is that when we asked for the bill they tried to charge us for 60k extra thinking we were not going to notice as they brought the check hand written. They told us their system was not working but a calculator could easily do the math for them in that case. So if you go there, be wise and review the total...
