10/10 Pool Bar Rooftop — Restaurant in Yogyakarta

We were looking for a chill bar around Yogyakarta, and this was the only one nearby — 1010 Pool Bar (or Rooftop Bar). It’s actually located on the rooftop of a hotel. The place is quite nice and relaxing, with a beautiful city view and cozy lighting at night.

It’s a bit on the pricey side, but it felt like we had the place to ourselves since there weren’t many people around. The ambience was calm — not really the upbeat vibe we were initially looking for, but it turned out to be a relaxing spot to unwind and enjoy the city lights.

The staff were also amazing! my friend accidentally broke a glass, but they didn’t even charge us and even refilled our drinks. We still paid extra out of appreciation because they were genuinely kind and accommodating.

Overall, it’s a great place to chill, have a quiet drink, and enjoy Yogyakarta from above. Perfect if you want something laid-back...

We were looking for a treat after several hours in bustling Malioboro street. The rooftop bar was quiete large with confy lounge chairs. We were very warm welcomed by Andre the bar tender. I felt like a cocktail and he suggested me one with a smokey flavour, a creation of his own. It was amazing, he was mixing it in front of us behind a rolling bar, I never had something like this before! He explained everything very carefully with great expertise and in a very good English. At the end, I had a wonderful cocktail which I enjoyed a lot. The ambient is great and the stuff is very friendly. The only thing I was missing, was more vegetarien options, it‘s really hard as a vegetarian in Indonesia. Had a great lunch here and highly recommend you visit, happy to cater for non hotel guests. Ice cold beer 🍺 😋 Food was enak/delicious I had a nasi goreng kampoeng and they ask for your preference of spice level, I went for spicy (surprising the host) but it was perfect for me. Good views over the city, pool if you remember your costume too, imagine beautiful at sunset. Andre Sadewo even asked me to sample their new sangria which was very nice. So it was so good I came back for dinner shame no sunset as started raining/clouded over, but dinner was also great. Happy hour 6-8pm with 25% off drinks, Andre even gave me a lesson on cocktail shaking... need more practise but was fun. Live band too, really...
