Very modern bar design with excellent staff and there was even a Live DJ in our section playing excellent music. Things start to fall down on the food. It was slow coming out, you had to get your own salt & pepper etc at the bar counter, the salt came out of the packets in lumps because the area was effectively out door roof top, it was too expensive and the food was rubbish, boring and completely lacking creativity. Burger and chips, fish and chips, chicken and chips etc etc... Not a vegetable to be seen anywhere. Someone needs to tell chefs that food advertised as, "fish & chips with mushy peas" with 10 peas in a tiny ramekin is not cute or fancy or, as advertised! Remember the good old days of being offered potatoes and vegetables as an option with your main course! How difficult can it be to offer a roast for Sunday lunch as a alternative to this rubbish that now seems to be mainstream. My daughter 15yrs old wanted to leave when she read the menu but it took us so long to get to our seats on the roof I just couldn't be bothered. I should have listened. Lazy, boring food, can do better.

Visited here last weekend with a group of friends and can't believe how disappointing it was! The bar itself is a nice looking place but thats all good I could say about it as the food was so poor! Especially the burger! In particular the portion size was bad to begin with after waiting about 40Mins for it. Then to add to it the burger was rock solid and like something heated up a few times over. I had about 15 chips on the plate and it genuinely looked like I put them out by ordering it. Other people in the group of friends got the burger and also said there was terrible too but some people said the feather blade of beef was nice. The food here isn't cheap by no means so when it arrives terrible its just not on! It was like something out of dunnes deli I couldn't recommend this place being honest. There are far nice places around cork for sure

Could be better. Went for Brunch on a Bank Holiday Monday. Nice to be able to sit outside. Limited menu for brunch breakfast options, no sweet choices like pancakes or waffles. Had a full Irish. The sausages were poorly cooked. Could have done with beans or tomato, it was a bit dry without. The puddings & mushroom were nice though. The waiting staff disappeared before we could ask for ketchup, eventually flagged someone but a quality check would have been appreciated. Service overall wasn't great. Our bill was not correct too, it included Americanos at €2.50 each which should have been included in the Full Irish. They rectified, so make sure to double check before you pay. I'd like to try again for lunch/dinner but won't be in a rush to go soon.

Decided to call into Clancy's yesterday, didn't make a booking and was promptly seated outside by Zaida, the loveliest waitress I have ever met in my life! I worked hospitality for years and can safely say this girl has it all. She was efficient, personable, funny, professional, friendly, and never dropped her smile. She was apologetic when she was required to quickly settle the bill (very understandable, given that we were seated outside), she complimented us, she made us laugh with every interaction, she even offered us chocolate! Her timing was impeccable - she never bothered us while we were eating but made sure she was close by when our glasses started to empty, and I saw her do the exact same for every other table she served. When there was an incident with an aggressive passerby that required Garda presence, she was calm, rational, she distracted her customers, and she immediately made her presence known without inserting herself into the situation - in short, she handled it absolutely perfectly. I'd hire her myself in a heartbeat. The world would be a perfect place if every team had a Zaida! The fish was evidently caught fresh that morning, the chips were rustic and perfectly cooked, the cocktails were stunning (and we made a fair attempt at trying the entire menu), but the food and drink were completely irrelevant compared to the world class service we received. Zaida could run the place! Cannot thank her enough for how fantastically she performed, she truly...

Stopped into here this morning for Breakfast before some shopping, there was very few tables taken so getting a table for 2 was not an issue, after been seated for a few mins a waitress asked if we would like tea/coffee, it was delivered just a few minutes later and then took the breakfast order, about 30 mins went by before the same waitress asked if we were ok for everything, she then realised we were still waiting on the food, another 10 or so mins went by before another waitress passed and we then asked if the food was on the way? Almost dismissive in tone she said it was,.. I think the order was forgotten about and then rushed, food was only ok.. I went to the bar to pay as I thought this would be faster only to find the bar man texting behind the side door of the bar and actively ignoring me, one waitress sat in a corner booth texting (maybe one another🤣) and the 3rd outside the front door smoking, needless to say the service was shocking, definitely better places around that area for...
