Five stars for Coffee - delicious coffee, top marks it's some of the finest in Cork, and they have a selection of really tasty [if slightly expensive] cakes and sandwiches. High recommendations, this coffee is a must-try
Five stars for Staff - the staff clearly love where they work and are always friendly. They don't take payments by card so when once I ordered a coffee and had no cash, the staff told me where the nearest ATM is and told me to drink my coffee first, no rush. That's trust, and it's really nice to be trusted for no reason
Three stars for Comfort - If you're looking for a place to feed a hungry family don't touch Coffee Roasters, the seating area is small and communal and at lunchtime there is a queue which crowds most of the shop - you may not get a table for yourself, but the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. A great spot for losing yourself in a book or catching up with old friends.
Five stars for Location - If you are visiting Cork City, for business or leisure you should stop into this cafƩ, it's two minutes from the top of Patrick st, and on the way to McCurtain street, an otherwise miss-able street with a man-made waterfall at Issacs restaurant and Mother Jones Flea Market on weekends. This street is also the former home to Crowleys music centre which closed down last year. Coffee roasters is a great excuse to venture up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi Cork coffee roasters,
I was on my way to work this morning and I noticed that your coffee store just off Patrick's Bridge was open and lights where on.
I said perfect I will come in to grab a great coffee that I always go too and enjoy.
As I entered the store the lady behind the counter was there I walked in and asked for a latte.
She then stated that the store indeed was not open and she would be unable to serve me even though everything was open in the store.
I then said ok that's fine but your front doors are wide open which would suggest that to a customer like my self the store is open for business.
She then said to me and I quote " the doors are open because it gets F word hot in here alright ! " and as I left the store I came back to clarify what she had said to me because actually I couldn't believe it.
She refused to give me her name after repeatedly telling me to chill bro chill when I simply asked for her name to make a complaint.
I have arrived at work now and am typing this email and I will be calling to make a verbal complaint and will be writing a review also as this is seriously uncalled for behaviour.
I am a long time customer but if this how staff are treating customers then I will no longer spending any of money at this establishment...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is about sustainability only! š Iām so grateful to have found this coffee shop in Cork, and was especially pleased to see that you offer real, reusable mugs to customers who asked for them.
That said, it seems that many customers in-house did not know about the available reusable mugs.
Maybe there is more you can do to easily communicate this option to those who may be interested. Perhaps that means having baristaās ask customers directly if they want a mug for here. Or maybe that means featuring real mugs on your social media, or somehow incentivizing or promoting the use of usable mugs, that people either bring on their own or borrow from you in house.
By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, and it would be wonderful to see waterfront cities, such as yours help everyday people be better to our environment.
Thank you for your consideration, and for the...
