The young staff are friendly but the older guys are extremely angry and should not be serving the public.

Went here a few years ago as a place to meet up with friends. We ordered non alcoholic drinks while we waited as we were driving and it was early afternoon. the bar man was clearly annoyed that we hadn't ordered pints, and as soon as we finished (almost) shouted at us to leave because the "seats are for people who are drinking".

Myself and my colleague went in recently during lunch for a quick cup of coffee, thinking that their attitude would have surely changed by now. A young lady served us and was friendly. We had our coffee outside and were gone after 20 mins.

The next day we went there at lunch again as it was a lovely day. This time there was an older man behind the bar who yelled at us that he's "not making coffee because it takes too long".

I appreciate if I was told that they're not serving coffee at the moment, but i don't like to be shouted at.

Also, it's also worth noting that they advertise 'Irish coffee' everywhere inside and outside the bar.

I've had enough of this place and I have already given them...

When my dad and I came in, we ordered our drinks and setlled at a table outside, 20 mniutes later the waitress came to us with a menu asking us to order food because it is the law since the situation we are currently in with the covid19 for which I am first to understand, what i do not appreciate is that we were Not told this at the entrance when we ordered our drinks, we did not come to eat. if we knew we would not have stayed. besides i am sure to have seen a group of 5 people coming for drinks after us and leaving shortly after without ordering food. I am really hoping that this bar does not treat its customer differently. the way it was handled was poor they cannot have people coming and then present the menu to them afterward. we had 3 different people serving us whereas it was not the case for the other customers around. All had one. what is the difference between them and us. you can guess !!! i am sure what comes into your...

I walked over with two friends who were about to get a lift home, I was meeting people inside but one of the girls just wanted to use the bathroom before getting a lift. She tried to walk in the door and the owner/manager stood in front of her and asked if she was okay, she asked if it was alright if she used the bathroom and he said no as "someone is just after getting sick everywhere up there", she said fine and walked away. After I said bye to my friends I went to walk in and he stood in front of me too and asked if I was okay, I said I was meeting friends inside and he said "oh I would have let your friend use the bathroom if I knew that", I said it was okay as she was already gone. When I went in my friend had just come down from the bathroom and she said it was spotless. A little bizarre! Bar staff were lovely inside but the man on the door made things a little strange. Not overly welcoming but the bar is...

What can I say? This is a Cork Establishment at its finest! It is also a perfectly-kept secret: it is on the Main Street of the city that is called Patrick Street, but you go in there, and it is an elegant, old-style and well furbished spot that is perfect either for the weekend nights, an afternoon watching the sport of just if you merely want to take your legs off after a day of exploration! And the proprietor has never an ill word to say to his customers - in fact, he will always facilitate anyone's needs - as there is a rich range of beers and other drinks to choose from! Total Cork Boi!!

Hit this place just at the right time ⏲️ as it had just opened in the afternoon and we were the second persons to go in. After doing the tour of Cork we needed somewhere to sit down have a drink 🍸 and 🍻 people watch for an hour. It didn't take long for the outside seating area to full up because everyone had the same idea as us. Very well staffed beautiful pub inside, plenty of history and a good selection of beers 🍻 and wine 🍷 👌. Excellent pint of Guinness.

I was in this place twice and it was a very enjoyable experience. Sit outside and enjoy the people watching - there's plenty to see. They serve a small carafe of red wine that is equal to about a glass and a half. Maybe that accounts for the slightly more expensive price. But best of all, the staff are very friendly - just what you'd expect from those that live in the true capital of Ireland. We didn't have the food so can't comment on that. 5* all round.
