Dreadful, awful. Steer clear of this restaurant. From start to finish it was bad. We had table booked for 4 ppl 7.30.Our table wasn't ready they offered us 1 stool between 4!!!??we got seated at 8pm,no napkins on table. We ordered set menu x4 Food was very slow coming it was just 9pm when we started eating. An hour and a half later!!! 3 ordered steak for mains, 2 were nice 1 was inedible, it was chewy, fatty and over all not palatable. Our waiter took the dish away and minutes later returned with a fresh dinner. This was rare, so rare it was blue. We spoke to the waiter he offered us another main. It was now after 10pm,so our colleague said no it was too late he did not want to eat on his own risking another fiasco perhaps. We finished our meal, called for the bill and we were charged for 4 set dinners. We called the waiters attention to the bill he spoke to the owner who was also head chef and he refused to remove the dinner that was returned uneaten TWICE. We refused to pay and asked for the bill to be amended. We were given another bill eventually but this one had broken down 1 set dinner into starter and dessert. They refused to budge on this. We said we would not be leaving a tip.. When we got the bill we were overcharged by 20 plus euro when we pointed this out we were told we had the wrong bill,.. I would like to point out that we were second last in restaurant at this stage and the other table was a large table of about 7 ppl, it was no mistake . No apology given for this mistake which would lead me to believe that the waiter tried to pull a fast one, literally putting his hand into our pocket and removing his tip himself. There is a lot I could say about this restaurant but the best way is to vote with our feet and not return and to advise you the public to...

IMO this place is seriously overrated, I found the whole experience very underwhelming! Maybe it was because we visited with a staff member that we got less than standard service but we paid full price the same as everyone else so should really have been given the same level of service. When I think about it now bad service is fairly standard in french restaurants so I probably shouldn't be too surprised. Either way I found it very expensive when compared with the experience received. If the food was great it would probably have been worth the bad service but it really wasn't anything special. Asked for the veg without pancetta as I don't eat pork, they clearly cooked it in the pancetta and then removed it before putting it on the plate as all I could taste was smoked pancetta on the veg, if I don't eat pork I don't want my food cooked in it and I certainly don't want to pay for it! I won't be back and I definitely won't be recommending it, not to anyone I...

It was terrible experience staff not trained tables not properly laid out waiting 45 minutes for our table the wait area was too small no seats while waiting.First food to the table was 1 hour 45 minutes after table was booked. My stake was over cooked and my friends steaks were ok got the my stake replaced but this time it was under cooked I did not eat it and did not have anything to replace it as it was now too late.We asked for the bill and my stake was on the bill and when I asked what was going on I was told the owner did not want to take it off and so we waited for the owner to speak to me but he did not come out so after a very long time waiting they changed the bill . I was paying by credit card and when I was putting in my PIN number I noticed that what I was being charged was the full amount so I had to get it changed back to the figure agreed.I would not be recommending this restaurant to anyone it was my worst...

Myself and 3 of my friends dined here a few days before Christmas. Overall the experience was very good. The menu was varied and the food was well presented, tasted lovely and good value. The service however was very slow and we had a considerable wait from seating to ordering first courses. There were 2-3 waiting staff and it was clearly not enough to deal with capacity. The staff themselves were very professional and polite and I do understand they were being challenged and stretched. The atmosphere was lovely but would suggest mobile heater to be upgraded and perhaps a new tree next year.

There were 5 of us. My wife and I had been here before. The food was very French as you might suspect from the name. It was also excellent for everybody as it had been on my previous visit. Portions were larger than I expected. They don’t serve beers etc. The wine list was huge - all French - and the pricing meant that we got a very nice wine at a reasonable cost. Service was excellent and the ambiance was good. It’s a small place so on that windy night it was a little crafty when customers were going in and out. Parking exists outside the door. Highly recommended

Lovely restaurant. The menu has a really nice selection to choose from and given the quality of the food and cooking the prices are very reasonable. The food was presented beautifully, portion sizes generous and our starters and mains were so delicious - a great balance of flavours. Staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive. The wine list had a good selection of French wines by the glass, half bottle or bottle. This restaurant will be top of my list when I return to Sligo again.
