Sadly I was only visiting Sligo for the day but was interested to find out about Sligo because my grandparents were born there . I arrived at the museum only ten minutes before it closed at lunchtime! Oh but the lovely kind lady actually gave me two beautiful books as a gift I was so overcome it was incredibly kind of her . There's wonderful exhibits about the great Irish figures of William Butler Yeats, Countess Markievicz and her sister Eva Gore Booth.
