We were looking forward to having a Christmas meal here as we have over the years and always loved it. Last night however we were really disappointed. The prices are definitely up there but the food didn't follow. I had Bolognese which cost almost twenty euro. It's was like a child's portion. It might have been worth say €9-11, but no more. It was like something that you would pull out of the slow cooker at home with ingredients that cost 2-3 euro per dish. My wife had the signature dish. It was ok, not worth the almost €25. It was a little rubbery. That particular dish used to be beautiful. Kids had pizza. We spent €100 in the bistro and left a 10% tip. Never again. I understand that costs have gone up for businesses but you should never leave a restaurant hungry with food as those prices. I was still hungry so we stopped in Supermacs on the way home and I had a snack box, kids had dessert. It was really nice. Thanks Supermacs. I am not a keyboard warrior, I don't leave reviews. I did tell the waiter that the dish was small, he seemed uninterested. Doubt he even reported it. Ran off with the tip. I am genuinely disappointed with the whole experience....

When the Early Bird is not that Early after all very disappointed Hi we just had a meal in the Bistro Bianconi in Sligo this is an restaurant we have eaten in a number of times and have been very happy regrettably this was not the case tonight as we went to have the Early Bird it was clearly stated on the menu that the Early Bird was just under 20euro for the main course and starter so we decided to go with it on completion of our meal which included 3 glasses of wine we were presented with a bill for 80euro when we queered this we were told not everything on the Early Bird menu was included on very close investigation all items except the two meals we had had in very small print eb near them this such a sneaky way to present a menu so watch out do a close study of everything before deciding as you might be fooled also by Early Bird menu. As the Early Menu clearly stared on the top that the price was just under 20 euro for starter...

Definitely call for reservation - they were very busy (it was a Saturday night). 🙂

Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely (complimentary) olives to start the meal. Solid wine/liquor menu -- Including dealcoholized red or white wine!

Brownie with ice cream was wonderful.

Seafood pasta was a lovely sauce and plenty of seafood with perfectly timed pasta. 😍

My only wish was for the pizza crust to have been better fired. The toppings were plentiful and tasty. A bit more zing in the sauce (basil or salted olive oil, maybe?) would be nice but that's just a suggestion, it was fine. However, the crust was 'just ok'. Based on pictures from before reopening (before lockdown?) I thought it was going to be a thicker/wood fired base but it seemed pretty standard/almost too flat.

I'd still go back and fully recommend Bistro Bianconi. 🤗 Just not for the pizza if you're looking for that something extra out...

We had an amazing experience at Bistro Bianconi. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy yet vibrant ambiance that made us feel right at home. Our server, Beth, was an absolute star, incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She recommended the house special Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza, which was phenomenal. The balance of sweet and spicy flavors on a perfectly crisp crust made it one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. The chefs clearly put heart into every dish. To top it all off, we enjoyed a delicately prepared tiramisu that was light, creamy, and the perfect ending to a great meal. Beth’s service truly made the night memorable. She was sweeter than the dessert and made us feel genuinely cared for. We left with full hearts and satisfied taste buds. Highly recommend Bistro Bianconi for anyone looking for great food, fantastic service, and a wonderful dining atmosphere.

We sat outside at the one table left, but there was only one chair so we had to go get our own chair. It took a little bit to order food and then it wasn’t for another 10min after we had ordered food to get the wine list we had asked for, then another 10-15min after that to get water. By that time we were almost ready to leave. Inside seemed like a nice atmosphere. Outside was ok. I like sitting on the street, but it’s nothing fancy. Nothing labelled vegan on the menu. We got the vegetarian pizza, mushroom bruschetta, and the penne pasta, all sub for vegan cheese. The mushroom bruschetta was really good, the pizza was ok, and the penne was just ok. I tried putting the chilli oil on the pizza and penne but it didn’t seem to add any flavour or kick.
