Popped in in the afternoon to look at the evening menu and the lady I spoke to was fantastic - friendly and helpful.

When we arrived in the evening, service was friendly and efficient. The allergen coding was really helpful for ordering but things went wrong from here.

I have an egg allergy and ordered a medium steak (no egg allergen listed). It arrived with a portion of coleslaw in the middle touching salad and chips. I cleared it from the plate myself and we all began our meal.

My medium steak was well done. I had even emphasised that I didn't want it overdone when ordering. Nobody came to check on us until I had eaten everything but the steak. When they did, I told them and they said 'sorry about that' and walked off. Nobody else came over. Eventually my brother ate the steak.

My brother had to go to the bar to order dessert as nobody came back to us. I couldn't have dessert - all contained eggs - so all I had was a very expensive plate of mushrooms, onions, salad and chips for €27.

This was a reunion meal with my mum and brother as I was home from England before I move to NZ so it was sorely disappointing to experience such an awkward evening and to leave hungry, especially after reading such...

Best Service We Got Whilst Away Harp Tavern Has to be The Best In Sligo After spending several days in a wet Bundoran ,we went up to Sligo , thankfully we had booked a table for 5 at the Harp as we there where 2 years ago , we were greeted and seated very efficiently again by the same lovely girl called Ann . We explained to her The grandsons now aged 16 and 13 and a wee grand daughter at 4 who is a character, they are normally hard to please food ways , we were delighted with the choice on the menu which Ann went through with great laughs , two servings of their house special , two chicken nuggets and chips meal ,and the traditional House Burger , service again was impeccable and efficient, food was to die for , young Martin along with Khloe the granddaughter cleared their plate and asked for deserts , which again Ann went through what was best for them , . Food to die for , was more than enough at a reasonable price , Guinness to perfection poured by an amazing lady who has a flirtatious smile and laugh , Definitely anybody travelling through Sligo ,give the. Harp a visit , 5* service from the...

I have had the pleasure of visiting The Harp Tavern numerous times for various family occasions, communion parties/ birthday parties/ engagement parties and each visit has been nothing short of amazing. Ann, the manager, is incredibly friendly and always goes above and beyond to ensure we have a memorable experience.

We have hosted several parties here, and the team has always been so helpful with decorations and setting up. They make the entire process stress-free and enjoyable, allowing us to focus on celebrating with our loved ones.

In addition to special occasions, The Harp Tavern is our top choice for regular lunches and dinners. The food is of exceptional quality, consistently delicious, and the drinks are always well-prepared. The service is efficient, with the staff being attentive and courteous throughout our visit.

Considering the high level of service and the quality of food and drinks, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend The Harp Tavern for any occasion – whether it's a family gathering, a party, or just a nice meal out. Thank you, Ann and the team, for always making our...

Trip Advisor wasn't wrong when they listed the Harp Tavern as the #1 place to eat in Sligo. Just a 2 minute walk from our hotel we walked in on a Saturday afternoon into the busy gastro pub. Luckily there was 1 table left and we were seated immediately. We browsed over the menu whilst enjoying a crisp pint and ordered the burger and chips and pepperoni pizza with onion rings, chips and curry sauce. I barely made it half way down my pint before our food was served. Visually, it was stunning and it tasted even better. The perfectly cooked half pound burger had to be eaten with a knife and fork as it was simply too massive to be tackled by hand. The chips were triple cooked and triple the quality of many I have been served before. Satisfied and full bellied we asked for the bill, eager to see what else the great Sligo town had to offer. The remarkably low price of 42 euros made it not only a wonderful place to eat, but also great value for money.
