I absolutely love Boojum ..so much that I even had it twice this weekend during my visit to Dublin after moving away for 9 months .
However this was the worst experience I have had in Boojum and this is purely down to one member of staff! Yesterday around 5:30 pm this girl taking my order preparing the burrito was extremely unprofessional.
She had asked what filling I wanted and I said Beef with some spicy sauce (this was my fault and I own up to it) what I meant was the pulled beef with the spicy salsa option but I confused her. I apologized and said no I'm so sorry I mean the pulled beef with spicy salsa option.
She got very irate and said in a very angry manner " so you don't want this now then? " She then started to aggressively make me a one slamming everything into the burrito wrap and made me feel really on edge and intimidated. She proceeded to comment about me to her colleague and give me a dirty look.
I was biting my Tongue trying to not react and politely walked away feeling very agitated after this experience. When I opened my burrito it was all over the place and not assembled correctly so the food was really unenjoyable.... It was more or less a bowl with out a bowl. You could swear that the burrito was coming out of her wages with the way she reacted to my mistake. This is appalling service and from some on who swears about how great Boojum is and how much I miss going here I feel very let down. Some one needs to have a talk with this Irish girl that was working yesterday as I will not be going there again if...
Read moreI usually have a great experience at this Boojum—the food is always excellent, and the staff are generally friendly. However, on 13 March 2025 at 18:04, I had a disappointing experience.
I was ordering for a friend, but there was a miscommunication about whether they wanted a bowl or a burrito. I paid for the bowl but realized the mistake after leaving. When I returned to request a swap to a burrito, the staff said it would cost €0.85, claiming the bowl contained more food.
I briefly left but returned within two minutes to clarify. A staff member initially said there would be no extra charge if the remaining food stayed in the store. We agreed, and they transferred the food to a wrap. However, after doing so, they suddenly insisted I had to pay the €0.85. When I questioned this, the staff member became aggressive, raising her voice and refusing to listen. Her attitude was unprofessional and unnecessarily rude.
Another employee stepped in, took ownership of the situation, and confirmed I didn’t need to pay. I later called another Boojum location, and they said pricing policies vary by store, but swapping from a burrito to a bowl typically incurs no extra charge.
This experience was disappointing. While it may have been a one-off, the staff member could have been more polite in their style of...
Read moreI started eating boojum about 13 years ago and it was this level of quality that gave them a franchise. The quality today breaks my heart to say is absolute dirt. I just received a bowl of tasteless slop, I am in utter disbelief that this is the level of quality such a quality outfit has become over the last 4/5 years. I just paid €12.30 for a burrito bowl with no extras, no veg, salad, no guacamole, no drink and the bowl was half filled in its completion with the shredded beef clumped together and the rice tasting of lime juice (literally) and what I can tell from experience, not even a full serving spoon of black beans. I would not even serve this food to a person that I do not like, let alone pay what I did. Disgraced to serve people food like they are doing. Half of the staff seem miserable and with attitude, non of them care and management don’t either as the margins they are making from the cheapest production and smallest portions are keeping their bank account healthy. I would feel ashamed service such...
