Searsons is an upscale Irish gastropub with a good chef driven menu. The mussels were fantastic! The fish & chips were a solid choice with minted mushy peas. The fish should have been more properly seasoned before being battered and fried. The shephards pie is made with ground lamb. A big portion fit for a cold night. The seafood chowder was excellent. Well seasoned with perfectly cooked seafood. Good-sized chunks that were not too big. The service was good. Not as attentive as needed, but still a step up from what we have been receiving from other restaurants in Ireland and England. This is a spacious restaurant that is great for groups or larger parties. No kids menu, but the portions were generous enough that a plate can be shared. Prices reflect the quality, so a little higher than other pubs. However, the quality and creativity of the menu match the pricing. Some salad choices and mushroom pasta were the vegetarian options. Overall, it was a great neighborhood choice. If we lived in the area, we could see ourselves visiting on a regular basis. Nearby neighborhood street parking. No handicap parking that we can see. But you can drive up to the rear of the restaurant in the alley and offload there if needed and then park in the neighborhood.

What a find! Searsons delivered a flawless dining experience from start to finish. The food, staff, service, and ambiance were all top-tier—elegant without being fussy, warm without being overbearing. 🍟 The Searsons Fries were a crispy, golden triumph—seasoned to perfection and impossible to share politely. 🐟 My wife’s Traditional Fish 'N Chips was everything you'd hope for in a classic: flaky fish, light batter, and chips that could hold their own in any culinary showdown. ☕️ We lingered over a relaxing meal and finished with a perfect cup of coffee. The unexpected bonus? A charming little Biscoff cookie on the saucer—a sweet touch that felt like a wink from the chef. 🏨 The location couldn’t have been more convenient—just a short stroll from our hotel (Dylan Hotel), making it the ideal spot for a cozy evening without the hassle. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Searsons is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've discovered something special.

My recent experience at Searsons was a rollercoaster of emotions - a night that started with jubilation as we celebrated Leinster's rugby victory with my father and brother, enjoying delicious food together. As the evening progressed, we found ourselves engrossed in various sports matches on the screens, until a movie began playing. Despite not being able to hear it, we were all captivated. However, our enjoyment was abruptly interrupted by a small, overzealous staff member who began shutting off the screens without explanation. When questioned about this abrupt action, his response was confrontational and disrespectful, particularly towards my elderly father. The incident cast a shadow over what had otherwise been a wonderful evening. It's clear that this individual could benefit from some additional training in the realm of customer service, as his behaviour left much to be desired. A slight tarnish on an otherwise enjoyable visit to Searsons.

After Bruce Springsteen on Tuesday evening, myself and my partner headed here for a few pints before going home. Two brothers started talking to us about the gig, they were clearly drunk but pleasant enough. A while later they got quite messy and left the pub in a bit of a state, we made sure they got out the door safely. We turned around and our pints were gone. Turns out the bartenders took our pints. We asked where our pints were and all the staff ignored us. We kept asking as they were practically full pints that we had just paid for, and we were told because we were with the two lads they had taken our pints. We explained that we didn’t know the two lads and had just met whilst sitting at the bar, they told us that wasn’t true and that we had arrived together (untrue). They then started ignoring us again until we kicked up a fuss at which point we were physically escorted from the pub. This was especially scary for me as I am a small woman, just over 5ft and had three men practically carry me out of the pub. The manager was incredibly rude and refused to answer who his manager was so I am following this matter up with the Gardaí and will be pursuing this...

Lovely roast. Really enjoyed the food here it’s very high quality meat and chicken they use. Service was second to none which I was surprised as to how attentive they were due to the large volume of people in there.

If you want a Sunday roast that’s a touch above the rest then this is your spot!

The Guinness was lovely also, cold and creamy. I didn’t see many other drinks being drank even tho they have a vast quantity of them on draft, so don’t panic if you don’t like Guinness.

If you’re a wing person I’d also recommend them from what I saw the portions were big and the wings were generously coated in what looked like a delicious sauce.

Only thing that stops me from giving it an overall score of 5 is I asked for my beef to come out medium rare but it came out slightly pink but more dark. However, the few chefs working were doing a lot of cooking as it was rammed inside & out. These things happen.

Note: I would probably recommend booking a table on weekends especially Sunday as they show sports. But there is ample seating inside.

Overall experience really 10/10 and will...
