Thought about this place a week later and got so offended again thinking about it, I'm leaving the review. This is longer than my leaving cert English essay.Though honestly - milanos you used to be great, it's been a while since then.

Came in place empty.

Ordered food and drinks..said we don't need starters specifically just to bring anything when it's ready.

Got our drinks... One mint leaf in my mojito, two ice cubes, Colin's glass (basic mojito glass) filled half way. Waitress apologised and said sorry the glass is half full...we couldn't find the proper glass. We laughed it off no bother as I have some fair experience in cocktail slinging but I know how horrible it is to serve a picky prick when you're trying to do your best. (Even if it's a basic drink)

Waited over 40 mins for food..still no bother...happy to spend time with eachother.

Got two pizzas, no sign of the three sides we ordered...no bother maybe they'll come.

My partner's duo romano half of hot American pepperoni pizza had no pepperoni on it. My pizza was raw. Still grand about it.

Couldn't get anyone's attention..starting to get agitated. Caught the managers glance he nodded like he was coming and then disappeared.

Finally got up..got a waitress. Changed his pizza ordered a drink. Drink never came. I finished my raw thing as due to a medical condition my stomach goes into trouble if I don't eat.

(I'm aware this is an essay..but this was a saga)

After getting another pizza for himself - while my partner is eating, the waitress comes and says his pizza is on the way...while he's eating it.

Got out of my seat to find the manager again so I could finally talk to him and get our bill.

By this stage, my husband says said the second (replacement) pizza was awful and he'd rather just leave it. I was starving still, already gave him half of mine so I ate his ends and tried to leave.

Got another waitress to finally get this manager. Tried to be understanding and told him he looks busy and I understand..told him half the story and mid sentence he walked off (I still wasn't even angry just done with it) don't think he even listened to the fact our sides didn't come. Saw him go to the pass ask a question...seem unbothered, came back with the bill.

Made sure to show me my old bill with all the food I ordered (and wanted but didn't get) and a new bill from which he said 'I took off the sides and gave you 10% off".

Well thank god. I should have been grateful not to be charged for food I didn't receive. Not one word of a sorry for either blanking us earlier or us having nothing we ordered after.

We were actually really broke and our first night out in a while. I told him we had a voucher which was for 50% off the pizza.

This is why I at least wasn't upset about the shocking service untill this point.

This dude just turned around and said yeah it's just not on the (only one on the menu) pizza you ordered " if you read the terms and conditions you'll see that".... Walked away again.

That's grand milanos I get your a business, but when you offer a deal that says all pizzas, then all pizzas means it's all pizzas. If you want to make money do, but it would help if the 30 cent cost price polenta chips actually got to the table that I would have paid 6 euro for.

If this manager dude is a nice guy please treat him better cause he's miserable. Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Or maybe he's not who knows.

Thanks for wrecking the once a month we can go out and we chose you.

Paid 60 euro for two pizzas, a beer and half a cocktail. We were looking to pay 100+ for good food and...

I have never ever received a service as horrible as this place last night.

We were 4 adults and 4 kids (aged 3-8). The booking was only for 6 but last minute, 2 others joined. The place was not packed, and when we were seated to the 6-pax table reserved, we asked if we can add additional chairs. The waiter didn’t reply and instead a manager or a guy who answers the phone for reservations, came to us in a quite hostile manner; no greetings, no manner and was almost really angry at us saying why didn’t we call to update him. It was a literal “last minute” addition as in decided when we met outside the restaurant. We were with kids and it was embarrassing to have this “adult”who’s supposed to serve us, speak to us so horribly. Not even letting us finish speak to respond. If only we weren’t with kids who are hungry, we would’ve left immediately. There was no need to be treated so rudely in a restaurant. Our waitress took possibly 15 mins or more and if we haven’t requested to be served, no one would come offer even drinks or water.

Additionally, we chose this place because the food here used to be good, but quality has deteriorated. Their burrata cheese (part of the antipasti) was hard like texture of a rubber.

We ordered gluten-free pizza and it wasn’t cooked well and really tasted off. Never order that.

There’s really no reason to come here unless you have no other choice. Really sad because the location would’ve been nice but the overall atmosphere is ruined with the horrible service and low...

Would not go again. For starters, the menu is too long and with like 50 things you could choose from (maybe more) and it feels overwhelming to choose something. Nobody helped us.. they didn't seemed understaffed and it wasn't packed that day. I don't remember the names of the pizzas that we chose but the flavour was alright, nothing exceptional. Too thin and was falling apart. And they don't cut your pizza, you have to do it yourself.. which I don't get or appreciate. Since I want to eat "right away" when I'm served and I'm paying 20€ for a pizza, you would think that it would come cut. The service wasn't much better. The waitress that took our order was nice, but talked under her breath and we couldn't hear. The waitress that served our pizzas was very nice tho. And the waiter that served us for the rest of the night was rude.. interrupted us to ask if everything was okay when I had a whole slice in my mouth, would talk loud and when we asked for the bill it took him more than 10min to give it to us (it was just 4 or 5 tables full and with the rest of staff there I don't think he was serving them all). The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, but they seated us near the doors and they were always opening them cause of the deliveries and then we would get cold from the street entering...

A meal to remember at Milano! From the moment we walked in, everything about our experience was exceptional. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—setting the tone for a fantastic evening. I enjoyed the Dough Balls Milano, paired with their legendary freshly made garlic butter. Let me just say: this garlic butter is transcendent. It’s rich, velvety, and sets the gold standard for all garlic butter going forward. I could eat those Dough Balls every day and never tire of them. My wife ordered the Lasagna Classica, and as a true lasagna enthusiast, she was thoroughly impressed. It was hearty, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—comfort food done right. Dessert was the perfect finale. My wife savored the classic Tiramisu, while I dove into the Biscoff® Billionaire's Sundae like a man on a mission. Decadent, indulgent, and worth every bite. The location was spot-on, making it easy to find and enjoy. Milano delivered on every front—food, service, ambiance. We’ll absolutely be back . . . the next time we visit Dublin.
