Had another meal 2 days ago, and once more, the staff were brilliant. The waitress went through all the meals and options and was very helpful. We arrived at 1, so it was getting busy, but the service was prompt. The food was lovely and can't be faulted. Excellent deals to be had also if you get the vouchers online.thanks again. meal 2 Arrived just at the start of lunch, so it was getting busy, but the service was very prompt. The food was lovely as always. The restaurant is very nice and the toilets are spotless and there are loads of them. For only €20 it's a very nice treat.the service was as always brilliant, and the staff are very accommodating and friendly. meal 3 , Another great experience. The waitress was lovely ,very friendly and helpful , the chef made a special pizza for my friend . The food was lovely and the service was very fast. Got a special offer online, which saved me some money on the bill. The dough balls are lovely , Thanks again. Another very nice experience and meal in the restaurant, friendly welcome and chats with the staff on arrival is always a nice touch, the food arrived fairly quickly and was as usual lovely, thanks again

Left it too late to book here so just took a chance last night that might have a table for 2 before Matilda in Bord Gais Theatre ...sadly booked out but offered to take my number and 20 mins later they called me and we got a lovely table. Explained we were theatre bound so got our food ordered straight away and service was speedy. Food was lovely - dough balls for DD and a beautiful flavoured tomato and mozzarella salad for me. Wonderful basil dressing on same, nearly licked the bowl !! Both went for pizza for main DD got a small side plate sized pizza ( plenty for her) and I got a wonderful vegetarian with olives and rocket. Childs order included a drink and a small ( I mean tiny) chocolate brownie (it was actually loads as it was so rich) . Including a nice large class of vino for me - bill before tip was €44 euro. waiting staff and lady on reception were so nice to us. really capped off our theatre night and we will be back again ...next time with a reservation made WELL IN ADVANCE !!!!

Pros: The Romana Pollo Ad Astra pizza was really tasty but thin (even thinner than a normal Italian pizza) and probably enough for only one person + The Calamari was good + The music was a bit loud but chosen song were good + The Berry Lemonade was okay + The interior design was pretty Cons: The price is bit high + The staff asked nicely for a tip; which made us a little uncomfortable; I'd prefer to give the gratuity without someone reminding me + After we finished our dinner, the staff checked in a way that we thought we have to leave the table immediately which we did Another day: Pros: The BBQ Burnt End pizza was good; it's sort of sweet FYI + The guy with ponytail was really nice + The Dough Ball was delicious Cons: We ordered Parmentier Potatoes Cube Slice but it was Smashed Potatoes + I still believe it's expensive Another day: Pros: The Diavol pizza was really good; it's spicy Cons: They were like 4 staff talking with each other while we were waiting to order + Expensive

I teetered between a three and a four for this place for a while, and I'll tell you why. The food here is really, really good. The desserts especially were incredible - my boyfriend is still talking about the sticky toffee bundt cake and the gingerbread latte was perfect. Luckily, I believe the food should be the main attraction in a restaurant rather than the service, because if it was the other way around this restaurant would be getting a two.

The girl who actually served us was great, and I have no issues whatsoever with her. She was attentive, came over to let us know there was going to be a delay on one of the things we ordered, left us alone when it was appropriate, she was fantastic. However.

We arrived with no reservation on a Friday evening and, as such, we were seated where they could fit us - that's totally understandable and we weren't looking for anything special so we didn't mind sitting next to the servers' station. I was fully expecting to be turned away in fact, so I was pretty grateful to be seated at all. What we DID mind, was that one of the male servers apparently couldn't be bothered taking one step forward and standing in front of the shelf to take down menus, and insisted on standing to my right, reaching over me and our table, and taking the menus from the shelf to my left. Any restaurant server worth his or her salt (and really, any person if they have any common sense) knows that you NEVER reach over a customer unless it absolutely can't be helped, but this guy doesn't seem to have been taught that. Nor did he seem to mind that his groin was at my head height while he was leaning over me. It made me extremely uncomfortable and, while I would definitely go back to Milanos (and get another portion of that bundt cake) I think I'd be heading across the river to their Clarion Quay branch where hopefully all of the staff have been taught...

Bloody Chicken wings & the defending the indefensible manager…!

Having lunch with my daughter & my partner today. Only my daughter had an hour for lunch I would have left before mains, but I stayed for her…

We had lunch here before & it was good.

Problem today was the chicken wings. Which were served with blood oozing out of them.

I asked the waiter to take them back. He sent the manager over. The manager said that the chicken wings could not have been undercooked because they (Milano) hey their food delivered cooked. So they couldn’t be not cooked. Despite blood oozing out of the chicken wings.

I told her chicken is cooked when the juices run clear… she agreed but her food is delivered cooked so they can’t be undercooked. Despite the fact blood was literally oozing from the chicken wings before us. I told her she was trying to defend the indefensible but she disagreed cos her chicken is delivered cooked so they cannot be undercooked. Etc. It went on like that for a while. That was the annoying part. Her lack of customer awareness or service.

I won’t be back. Ever.

Ps. After owners reply below I did try call the number be provided. It’s not a recognised number so didn’t get to discuss the matter...
