Itâs really hard to find cute places that make coffee after 4pm so I thought that we might have popped here to have one, I know itâs more of a restaurant thing but half of the indoor area was empty and the outside area dead so we sat down here to enjoy some sun, we ordered through the app which was honestly quite confusing and got two â large iced coffees â one of them with a little side note saying â one with oat milk pleaseâ and a smiley face since there was no option for plant based milk in the app.
Sun went away and got suddenly cold so we asked if we could move inside before we even got the drinks and the waitress said something phenomenal: âno only-coffee orders inside, only for takeaway or outsideâ, we paid almost 10⏠for two coffees and we canât even sit down inside? This can only communicate one thing to me âwe want to make as much profit as possible so we charge people as much as we can for takeaway drinks but if you are not spending a fortune for whatever reason you are not worth sitting downâ Fine, no problem. Got back outside, coffees arrive and since they looked identical I asked which one was with oat milk and she said that they were both with cow milk and that for the oat milk I had to pay an extra that the app didnât charge me, so I explained the situation and she made me a new one⌠I tried to stay positive and nice all the time but not only they almost sent me hospital (Iâm lactose intolerant) they brought us what in the app was a â large iced mochaâ but in reality was a tiny plastic takeaway cup that Iâm not exaggerating when I say that it tasted like water.
At that point I didnât want to be a Karen so we just left, but if you come here please be careful and donât bother using the app.
Cafes and places like this should be places where you should feel welcome even if you just want to enjoy something small like a coffee (that almost costs as much as a dish but ok), these polices made to increase profits are just unrealistic...
Read moreI went back for a second visit to take a photo of my meal and tell you about it. Nutbutter has a plant-based menu with optional âproteinâ add-ons like fish, chicken, or beef. Great options for vegetarians or vegans, but for those who want a little meat in their diet, itâs easily added, or you can opt for meat dishes like their take on Irish stew. They have a simple menu focused on quality and tasty dishes.
I really love Pad Thai, so when I saw it on the menu, I ordered the Rainbow Pad Thai. I added the extra chicken, but it would have been just as great without it. It wasnât what I was expectingânot a noodle in sight! But could this be better than a traditional Pad Thai? Sat on a bed of peanut rice, the artistic creation of vegetables was full of punchy, amazing flavors, and almost every mouthful was complemented by just the right amount of peanut crunch that I expect in a Pad Thai. Seriously, there wasnât a grain of rice left in my bowl. It looks amazing and tastes even better. I think whoever made that dish is a culinary genius!
Everyone I was with, on both visits, had the same comments about their meals.
They have a great playlist of music, and the vibe is modern, chilled, and comfortable. The staff are cool, friendly, and not âin your faceâ checking if you like their food. Why would they? They...
Read moreI think this place is not for you if you want to taste the real taste of fresh food.
Everything is wrapped in weird-sour-sweet-oily sauce. I was very attracted to the raw tuna, and I really wanted to taste the freshness of "SUSHI GRADE TUNA". Extremely disappointed.
The fish was suspiciously brownish, and covered in heavy oil.
The texture was mushy... a bit like wet bread, but more dense.
I was even wondering if it was fish paste and not fresh whole fish. It tasted like oil. I would not call this "sushi grade tuna" at all... They are really wasting fresh fish with whatever heavy marinade they use that destroys all the whole purpose of raw fish.
The leaves in the "protein bowl" were very sour and bitter, also covered in oil.
Some people may like it, but I think this place is not for you if you expect the real taste of quality fish and fresh vegetable.
The only good thing was the avocado, ripe and free of any suspicious sauce/oil.
Also the decoration is really nice, and the staff is friendly.
Edit: went a second time, tried the heirloom tomato salad + beef brisket. The salad was swimming in vinegar, very very sour, no other taste than sourness. The...
