First time coming here and straight away from walking in expectation were below satisfactory. I went in with my friend and they took his order but then didn't even start his order so he ended up going elsewhere. Mine on the other hand was cold, portion size was not the best, was charged over €3 for a large curry. And then their is the "fish" if you can even call it fish more like frozen cat food. Never have i ever been somewhere that has its own port and sea so close serves up frozen fish that im not even sure was COD although its sold as Fresh Cod. Will never ever be going here again and don't even know how they are in business even the atmosphere with the restaurant was horrible. This place dont even know what customer service is either. The worst €17 ever spent

needs new owners/workers don't use too often because of the unfriendly rude staff like pit bulls. no hi how are you how can i help you only short of throwing my friend asked for 3 pieces of chicken is that a snack box she said no 2 pieces he said ok but then ordered another snack box coz wanted more than 2 chicken. cost was 20euro you'd think the worker would actually recommend the box with four pieces that is cheaper. no too much effort. that chicken and chips went to the bin because he was angry at the price for the small amount of food and the lack of customer service. food from last night 20euro in the bin. thanks lido for doing your job so well.

I recently tried the Fish and Chips with Garlic Sauce at Lido on Pearse Street, and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The cod was bland, lacking the fresh fish flavor you'd hope for, and the outer batter was disappointingly soggy instead of crispy. While the chips were passable, they couldn't make up for the underwhelming fish. At €15.50, this meal felt overpriced given the quality. For that price, I’d expect better seasoning, possibly some added sides like a salad, lime, or beans, and a more complete presentation in a restaurant. It’s not terrible, but certainly not the value for money you'd expect, especially given the prime location.

HORRIBLE PEOPLE & HORRIBLE FOOD

Yesterday I wanted to order meal box with at least 3 chicken pieces in it and I asked for ā€˜ Snack Box ā€˜ with 3 chicken pieces. A woman said ā€˜ there are 2 pieces of chicken in Snack Box ā€˜. I taught that’s all they had and I ordered 2 Snack Box Meal then.

When we were paying for the food I seen there are ā€˜ Lunch Box , Dinner Box, Family Box’ with more chicken pieces in the boxes and they are much cheaper then ā€˜ 2 Snack Box Meal ā€˜.

When I asked for 3 chicken piece Snack Box she should say ā€˜ it’s a Lunch Box, Dinner Box ā€˜ bla bla. I paid 20 euro for 2 small snack box with 2 pieces of a small chicken and few chips in it.

ANOTHER THING IS ;

That woman served us is extremely grumpy. Never smiles and talks to you aggressively. You feel uncomfortable ordering the food.

That’s not the first time happening to us. For some reason every single person works there are same. Not even a single friendly manner in them.

I would never ever go to that shop and I don’t recommend anyone to go either. Because they make the business in anyway they don’t care about people. They have to learn the lesson by not making the business.

So, stay clear away from this shop if you don’t want to...

I purchased fish and chips today. Initially, I was standing there a few minutes, but people working there were having a hot debate on something so they asked what I would like to have after a while. They don't provide napkins or forks. Chips were not fresh enough. They charged the exact same money I would have paid had I bought chips and fish separately (in most places it gets cheaper when they are purchased together, but not in this place). I asked whether they provide any sauce (usually most places put tartar or mayonnaise for free with your fish and chips). Of course they don't, so I purchased garlic mayo for extra cost. I paid 14 Euros in total for this unpleasant experience. I was planning to give at least two starts since the taste of fish at least was OK, but in the last bite from the fish, there came a bone. So, I changed my mind and thought what they deserve is one star. Shouldn't be a place for you guys unless you are starving and there is no...
