Very rude encounter with a staff member today. Myself and my daughter went in as she had a day off school and wanted pancakes. A couple were leaving so they said we could have their table. We waited 20 minutes and no staff acknowledged us. Other customers walked in and were served before us so I said excuse me, can I order now? To a staff member and she very rudely shouted at me that she is not a robot on front of other customers and told me I should have waited outside to be seated! Even though others were arriving without been seated and she gave them a menu straight away. My daughter was very upset and the only reason I stayed is for my child as she really wanted pancakes. Everyone in the place was looking as she made a scene. I usually come here once a week but I won't be returning in the future if that's the service people recieve. The staff member had long blonde hair in a plait. The manager wasn't there I dont think she would have acted that...

I ordered a drink that they were Advertising as a summer drink. I walked up to the counter and Said "Hello, i'd like to order one of your summer drinks. The one with caramel" the employee looked confused and Agitated so i tried to explain a little better and Said "the caramel summer drink on the poster outside" she gets mad and Just goes "ok" and i pay.

I then sit by the table and wait and she comes over with a hot cup of Coffee.

When i explained that it isn't thr drink i asked for she just goes "this is what you asked for" i then point at the poster and say the cold drink outside. With caramel" she then proceeds to just get a glass, fill it with ice and then dump the Coffee in to it and drop it off at my table without Even saying anything or looking at me.

Personally i'd never Come back here considering they don't seem to know their own menu or care about...

Had a great lunch in here. Highly recommended straight off the bat. My parents have been coming for a long time so checked it out with my mother and brother. The full Irish breakfast was unreal. Best I've had in a long while. The pancake was actually slightly burnt on the bottom (hence the 4, rather than 5 stars) but overall very tasty. I wouldn't describe the wait time as long but it definitely wasn't fast. The staff were accomodating to us in comparison to other reviews though. It's important to note that it's a pretty small cafe and popular so it can get packed. I'm sure early mornings would be an ideal time to come. Will hopefully be back!

Have been coming here for years. It’s an old school cafe which is family run. It’s always busy which is a good sign even with O’Briens opening up 2 doors down hasn’t done much to disrupt this little gems flow. They do these mean Irish breakfasts that would fill you up for the day. Also triple egg omelette with your choice of 3 fillings. Outside of that they have some healthy options. Very nice coffee on offer, it’s popular enough for people to coming in all the time to get their takeaway coffee.

Food was tasty but the portion could be more generous. I can recommend the eggs. Florentine. Service is on the slow side, about 25 minutes for a single dish. Also, the final price was €0.25 more than advertised on the menu, couldn't be bothered to argue but staff can be better trained. Atmosphere is so so because the door constantly brings in cold air. It looks like they have a heater above the door. Why don't they turn it on?
