I recently had the pleasure of dining at Slice Restaurant in Dublin, and I must say, my visit left me thoroughly impressed. Despite a slight wait of around 25-30 minutes due to the Sunday crowd, the experience that followed was well worth it.

From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance and warmth of the restaurant were apparent. The staff were friendly and accommodating, helping to ease the wait time and setting the tone for a pleasant experience. Once seated, I was promptly handed the menu, and my eyes were drawn to the tantalizing array of options.

After careful consideration, I decided to indulge in a variety of dishes that caught my attention. The Brunch Hash Brownies intrigued me, and I couldn't resist the urge to try Naniji’s Achaar as well. To complete my meal, I ordered a cappuccino and the Buttermilk Pancake. As I awaited my order, the anticipation grew, and I couldn't help but notice the attention to detail in the restaurant's decor.

When the food arrived, I was taken aback by the impeccable presentation. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully arranged on the plate. The Brunch Hash Brownies were a delightful blend of flavors, and Naniji’s Achaar added a tangy twist that was truly unique. The cappuccino was expertly crafted, providing a perfect balance of bold coffee flavor and velvety milk.

However, the star of the show had to be the Buttermilk Pancake. It was a culinary masterpiece, fluffy and golden-brown, topped with a generous drizzle of syrup. Each bite was a harmonious blend of sweetness and texture, leaving me craving for more.

The overall experience at Slice Restaurant was nothing short of satisfying. The wait, though initially daunting, was rewarded with a meal that exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail in both the food presentation and the restaurant's ambiance showcased the dedication of the staff to provide a memorable dining experience.

In conclusion, my visit to Slice Restaurant was a delightful journey for the senses. The delectable food, warm ambiance, and attentive staff combined to create an experience that left me content and eager to return. If you're looking for a place that offers both a feast for the palate and a feast for the eyes, Slice Restaurant in Dublin is undoubtedly...

Super disappointed :( when we rang to see if we needed to make a booking the staff member on the phone just answered with “hello” we were unsure if we rang the wrong restaurant. When we arrived we were told to sit outside to wait for a table. I went to take a menu to have a look while we waited (as you would Usually be given one while you wait) and I was told just “sit outside please”. I’ve been interested in trying the food here for so long. I Ordered avo with eggs which was to come with tomato & feta crumble but they were both missing From my dish :( I only realised after I left and checked the Instagram page to check a photo of it. My partner got a cheese croquette dish and the croquettes were very soft and soggy they lacked cheese didn’t have much flavour everything was very wet. We had to add salt and pepper as the eggs were not seasoned at all. We ordered hash brown on the side and it was one small ball of grated potato and two poached eggs it was really small. I had to ask for tap water twice and salt and pepper twice which was a bit frustrating as I didn’t want to bother the staff to much. I completely understand that people can forget but we felt like it lacked any warm welcome or like they cared about the customer.

I would like to try another dish maybe we were just unlucky but for the price of €40 for a breakfast we were really let down :(

The coffee was nice, one staff member nice but...

Charming Cafe with Room for Improvement

My visit to sample the highly recommended pancakes was met with anticipation, perhaps too high of one. While the pancakes were delicious, they didn't quite achieve the level of brilliance I had hoped for. The berry sauce topping, while flavorful, erred on the sweeter side. I must say, though, the cream was exquisite, but I wished there had been a tad more of it.

As a devoted connoisseur of pancakes and French toast, I hold every dining experience to high standards, and these expectations can be demanding.

On a positive note, the coffee here was rich and satisfying. The service from the staff was a shining star; they were unfailingly courteous and attentive, even when the place was bustling with people.

One small downside is the cafe's size. They do offer outdoor seating with umbrellas, but Dublin's unpredictable weather means it's often off-limits due to rain and wind.

This cafe is a cozy spot with potential for even more greatness. The pancakes are good, and a slight tweak to the berry sauce's sweetness, bigger size and a tad more cream would make them superb. Paired with great coffee and exceptional service, it's a place worth returning to, with hopes of witnessing it achieve its...

I give this place a 4/5 because the staff are lovely, interior is comfy and all around I had a great time there. Coffee is good and they even made me something specific I asked for which wasn’t on the menu. However, the food was okay. I had the sausage scramble and it was weird. I really didn’t like the sausages, I’m not sure what they were made from or if I am just not used to those types of sausages but they fell apart and didn’t even feel like meat. The dish is very wet which then makes the sourdough soggy underneath and makes it not very enjoyable to eat. I can’t say I’d get it again as it kinda grossed me out. I remember I asked for the little potatoes they had with their special and they were also not amazing. Kinda hard potatoes, weird oil on them. If you compare them to fried potatoes to any other brunch place they’d be low down I’d say. Needed Mayo. I feel bad because the staff were lovely and the place is lovely but I wouldn’t recommend the sausage scramble dish.
