Proper — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Dundalk

I regret to say that since moving to the new premises, the customer experience seems to have fallen way beyond what it used to be. I’ve been here a couple of times since reopening, some for food and some just for a drink and on almost every occasion service was very slow.

On a quiet Sunday morning we were shown to a table quickly but waited around 10 minutes for tea/coffee to come and then another 30 minutes for food to arrive. Great tasting food that time but no apparent reason it took so long since there weren’t many other customers there.

The last time I visited was a Friday afternoon, we were shown to a table and the waitress went to get us menus and never came back to us. There were more tables filled this time and plenty of staff to keep up but being completely honest some of them walking around the floor didn’t look to be doing much at all. We sat there 15 minutes waiting to be given menus before we left.

Fantastic place to eat breakfast. 4 of us visited on a Sunday. We wanted a nice proper Irish Breakfast and this was thr place. Both grandparents took a half breakfast. They loved it. Nothing left on either plate. My son had sausage and chips and loved them. I only eat white bread. Unfortunately they only serve sourdough bread. It was delicious. I have never tasted sourdough as nice as this. A huge pot of tea and a small pot was brought over. They offered my son some toys to play with. My dad loved his take away capachino too. Staff were very kind. All staff were smiling, very good natured and very on the ball. Fully recommend this place to visit. So glad I found it. Plenty of seating, space, huge screen to watch sport. Not really sure what this place is or is trying to be. Its not an upscale restaurant it's not a sports bar or a pub. Food was good but very small and limited to mainly pizza or burgers the taco chicken chips where amazing . But there was specials on a small menu I seen and the waitress did not tell us about them also the menu said specific times for the burgers menu up tul 5pm so I didn't order from it and then 2 people sat down and ordered burgers m their cocktails are amazing. But the place is small and I think its more of a place u go for a few drinks and snacks for a match or a MMA fight it's not romantic and not a fine diner I'm not sure what it is really but it was nice but I wouldn't be drooling to go back.
