Emiliano’s Italian restaurant has been one of the best restaurants in Waterford for many years now. It continues to provide consistently delicious fare, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is by far, my family’s favourite restaurant. Over many years, a couple of decades now at this stage, we have celebrated key events and moments in our family’s history. Give it a try, if you’ve not been before - you won’t regret it.
We’ve eaten in Italian restaurants in Italy and other than a few accommodations for the Irish palate, Emiliano’s is as authentic as it can get. From the wide and varied menu, the Italian-speaking staff, and the beautiful decor of the restaurant, it comes together to provide the patron with an authentic experience in an authentic atmosphere.
Food-wise, we thoroughly recommend the Gamberi alla Diavola (prawns in white wine and seafood sauce, with chorizo sausage pieces) for starter accompanied by their gorgeous fresh crusty bread baked in-house. The Garlic Mushrooms are very good, too.
For mains, you can’t go wrong with their Lasagne, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Black Sole, or Fillet of Beef. They offer various Chicken dishes also. Other fish dishes includes their Spaghetti Frutti di Mare (spaghetti with various fish in a tomato sauce) or their Zuppa di Pesce (Fish pieces in broth). The flavours and presentation of each of the dishes are exquisite. Everything is piping hot and tastes immense. We thoroughly enjoy our meals and are already looking forward to our next meal at Emiliano’s. Recently, we had the good fortune of visiting here twice in a week!
We would wholeheartedly recommend Emiliano’s Restaurant. If you are looking for consistently good food, attentive service and a really authentic Italian experience then Emiliano’s is the place. It is always packed and walk-ins are often disappointed when turned away. Best to book in advance to avoid disappointment as they fill up quickly.
Emiliano’s offers takeaway options, too. Takeaway pizza is utterly delicious! Thin base, gorgeous cheese and tomato sauce. Favourite is the Diavola pizza with pepperoni and chilli oil. Nice kick from the spices and a really filling pizza.
Consistently good and fabulous service. We return again and again because it is consistently the best Italian restaurant in Waterford, such is the atmosphere, the delicious food, and the welcome you receive...

The Italian cuisine served here is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is a flavorful masterpiece, showcasing the authentic flavors and attention to detail that make Italian cuisine truly remarkable. From perfectly cooked pasta to mouthwatering pizzas, every bite was a delightful journey through the rich culinary landscape of Italy.
What truly stood out, however, was not just the food but the impeccable service provided by the staff. The team was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience. Their recommendations were spot-on, reflecting a deep understanding of the nuances of Italian flavors.
The staff's warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. It's rare to find a place where the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, this Italian gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic culinary journey in a charming setting with a staff that elevates the dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, eager to explore more of the menu and bask in the delightful atmosphere created by this culinary haven. Highly...
Read moreEmiliano’s is top class, not only for the amazing Italian dishes but also for an outstanding service: quick, always promptly replying your requests, extremely nice and kind. Emiliano himself is a great host and it’s always a pleasure to get the chance to have a chat with him. Emiliano’s pizza is absolutely gorgeous. The pizza chef is really talented and, honestly, his dough is amongst the best we’ve ever had, even in Italy (and being Italian, we know something about pizza): incredibly light and silky. In Ireland there’s only another Italian restaurant where you can have a top drawer dough like this. The topping is also top notch: high quality tomato sauce and different options. Just try the Pugliese and you will fill in love with truly Southern Italian flavours and tastes. Pasta, then, is delectable. Lasagna is so cheesy and saucy. Don’t forget the desserts. For instance, cannoli are amazing: the ricotta filling is fresh and not too sweet and the cannolo itself is so crunchy. Last but not least, the atmosphere, it’s warm and friendly just like in many Italian restaurants (especially in the South and in the wonderful Puglia or Sicily, Sardinia, Molise etc.). You will...
