Tldr - this place isn't on Tel-aviv's level at all. Go somewhere else. The photo in this review is people waiting for their pre ordered table.
You'll start your evening by waiting for 20 minutes that the table you ordered a week in advance will be available. You will then be spotted either in a loud shared space with too many tables or in a secluded corner with a tiny table and uncomfortable chairs. You'll check the repetative menu and find 3-6 interesting dishes, all priced 60-100 shekel. The waitress will tell you that these are indeed the best dishes, so now you got high hopes! Order a cocktail, but be prepared to get a semi-virgin one. Want it to have a real amount of alcohol in it? You'll have to pay extra. Pro tip - the bourbon cocktail is basically a Manhattan and is the only one that actually feels alcoholic.
Youll get your first dish - a 4 bites sized dish that costs like a whole dinner. You'll try using the chopsticks and find out that there really are worst chopsticks than those you get when you order a sushi delivery.
You'll eat 4-5 more similar dishes until you get some what not hungry. Half of them will be actually good, the other half will be legitimately thrown at a wall by any food critic. For example the fried calamari will shame a mall stand. Not joking, I paid 4 euros for about that amount of way less chewy calamari with the exact sauce in a Nordsee stand. No way I paid 60 shekel for a few bites of frozen calamari.... Right?
By the end of the evening you will get angry by your fellow patrons for being loud (literally whistling and stuff). You'll get the bill, leave a tip cus you aren't a terrible person. Ask for the receipt to find out the waitress took 10 extra shekel of tip.
You'll continue your evening in a close by pub drinking a real cocktail, filling up on some fries and writing the longest Google review you have...
Read moreOne of the worst restaurants that claims to be luxury. I have been in 50 countries and never saw such place. Everything is extremely BAD!!!! The hotel itself very good and the stuff, rooms, receptionists, everything good. But I would strongly recommend to think before you book this hotel because the restaurant is a part of the hotel. And there is no options to search food…. Breakfast anyway people needs to have, and it’s complicated to live there because of the restaurant. I stayed already 7-8 nights and I can say, every day some issue were happening with that’s restaurant. The waiters when they bring the food, for god sake don’t put your FINGERS in the plate!!!! I found in my coffee cup a HAIR!!! I found a lIPSTICK at on the glass!!! When I ask about ordering a dinner to my room, the girl who do the reservation told me to come to restaurant and to check myself the menu. And she is not familiar with the menu. Then what she is doing there???Because I asked what is the best dish in the restaurant I wanted to order, she got angry!!!! I will strongly recommend to the owner of the INK hotel, to change the restaurant manager ❌since she can not do her job properly and teach the stuff. Because of the restaurant people does not want to come to hotel. It’s affects the business!!! I stay in the hotel and should search where to eat in the city because of the restaurant issues… This is ridiculous!!! Because of all mistakes they had done and spoiled all my vocation, they offer to me a free of charge dinner. When I started to order next day, they told me it’s not free, it’s only 50% off. When I said then I don’t need the dinner, they said, ok we can give you free 🙄, and I didn’t accept anything for free or for charge who needs such dinner!!!! Also well done meat mean’s without blood 🩸 I WILL never 👎 come back to this place only because of this...
Read moreThe savvy waiter recommended most of the courses we've ordered, and he had hit most of them: The cocktails were good, noted the spicy margarita. The fish carpaccio was amazing, alongside the complimentary fish part of the tuna tartar. The shrimp and the seabass were good, only to be shaded by the great shrimp sauce (and it came with a bun to take on the sauce!), and the overwhelming roasted cabbage as a side to the fish. The guys that ate the steak fillet said it was delicious, but surprisingly small.
The down-sides were: the non-ripe avocado that came with the tuna tartar. The sushi rolls: too much rice, most of the rolls on the menu had either tempura, or sweet potato, or mayo or some other ingredient that would make the great master sushi chefs much pain. Furthermore, they serve the sushi with 3 small sauces: soy sauce (ok), teriyaki (big no no) and spicy mayo (like the cheapest fastfood sushi chains.. .)
Desserts were ok. No more, no less. And they were missing Fernet Branca for digestif.
The crowd was uninterestingly flashy. The music boring and a bit too loud
4 people, 4 cocktails, no wine - 1160 shekels. Not the best...
