This is the best restaurant in Italy I had so far. It is even better than restaurant in Naples and Rome. The antipasto is unbelievable amazing !!!! 10 dishes for only $27 Euro, each is only $2.7 ?! Crazyyyyy good value.

To be honest, we didn’t know that at beginning, so when they sent us first 4 plates, we were like not bad for $27, then 6 plates came, we were surprised and fulfilled then 8 plates came, we started to worry if we order something wrong which may cause $100 Euro, then we asked the waiter and make sure we did the right order and there were two more plates coming.

We really shocked by the good value of money and all plates tasted amazing like Fine dinning level.

To be honest, for only the 10 plates antipasto, we would pay $100 AUD each in Sydney for a fine dinning restaurant.

Unbelievable amazing restaurant, definitely the No.1 restaurant in...

Mediocre food served with flair

Visited Ristorante L’Aratro with high expectations, given its location in the heart of Alberobello. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The food was mediocre at best—uninspired flavors and nothing that truly stood out. Despite the dramatic presentation, the quality simply didn’t match the hype or the price.

The atmosphere felt more like a staged tourist show than a genuine dining experience. The owner wandered around in what can only be described as a clownish outfit, charming kids and tourists with exaggerated enthusiasm. It felt like an attempt to distract from the lackluster food.

Definitely overpriced for what you get. If you’re looking for authentic Apulian cuisine, I’d suggest exploring the lesser-known local spots outside the tourist center. This place seems more interested in performance than...

Bad experience. The service and food quality doesn’t deserve the price at all! Food is just normal nothing special to expect. The most important to mention is that, the service is awful!!! The server placed the dishes on the table in a very rude way (he didn’t even take attention that there was a folk there and placed it directly on the folk in front of our kids, how ridiculous!). And you just don’t feel the service in a kind manner during the whole meal time. After we paid the bill, the server said bye-bye while turning around without looking at us(come on?! ) I can’t imagine that this is the service from a so called “Michelin” restaurant. It’s pricy for the food is, and the service is even worse than a fast food restaurant. I do NOT recommend anyone to go this one, bad choice for either food quality or for...

I ordered the Fillet of sea bass prepared with crudaiola of cherry tomatoes ricotta cheese and olive oil. It tasted as though I had just thawed a previously thawed and refrozen fish then over-boiled it and poured some chopped tomatoes with some olive oil over it. Service was brusque, forced and rushed except when time to pay the bill (I ended up walking to the counter as there was a couple waiting for a table outside and the waitress told them there were no seats - I had my credit card out for 10 mins by that time while waiting for the fish to digest)🤷🏻‍♀️ I wonder why the place rates so high on TripAdvisor .. None of the dishes that came out smelled of anything and seemed pre-cooked (heck, even airplane and school canteen food has some food smell) 😒

Great restaurant in the historical centre of Alberobello. The owner is generally always there and is a very sweet man. The service is great. Now onto the food, which was excellent. We had: 1. The antipasto (the house special - minimum 2 people) this is highly recommended. My photos do not show most of the antipasto, but it is many small plates and each was absolutely awesome. 2. The capocollo di Martina Franca (a town next to Alberobello) which was excellent. 3. The Orechiette (a traditional dish from the region). While I didn’t dine gluten free, the other member of the party did. She had gluten free orechiette, and was provided with gluten free bread and taralli! I would definitely recommend this place.
