I recently had the pleasure of dining at Estrella de Mar in Alghero, the lovely coastal city, for breakfast, aperitivo, and dinner, and I can confidently say that everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish!

For breakfast, the Sardinian homemade selection was fresh and flavorful, with the added bonus of a stunning sea view. The coffee was rich, and the pastries were light and flaky, creating the perfect start to the day while enjoying the serene scenery.

The aperitivo was equally impressive. The drinks were expertly crafted, with a fantastic balance of flavors, and the accompanying snacks were just right. It was a relaxing way to enjoy the early evening, made even better by the beautiful view of the sea, especially as the sun began to set, casting a golden glow across the horizon.

Dinner, however, was the highlight! La PINSA 🍕 was phenomenal perfectly baked with a crispy crust and generous, high quality toppings. Each bite was a delight. The Sardinian Culurgiones, a stuffed pasta with an incredible mint flavor, was a standout. The service throughout was professional and attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was inviting and paired perfectly with the view, especially as the sunset added a magical touch to the evening.

Overall, I can’t recommend Estrella de Mar enough. Whether you’re there for a quick breakfast, a refreshing aperitivo, or a delicious dinner, you’re in for a treat. With the beautiful sea view, stunning sunset, and professional staff, it’s a place I’ll definitely be...

Not my favorite place, we stoped here for an aperitif, after few minutes we were invited to move to a different table because we were not having dinner. We ordered 4 spritz and a 2 charcuterie boards, 3 cocktails came in a plastic glass (which is ridiculous) and one in a regular glass, and after few minutes the glass exploded in the hand of our friend, Injuring her hand, she started bleeding a lot.. we informed the waitress, and she said that the glass exploded due to temperature shock of hot and cold. We were invited to move to another table once again, they gave her a plaster and she had to order one more drink 10 minutes later. The charcuterie board for 30+ euros was very poor, nothing special. When we asked for the check we noticed they charged also for the drink that exploded and injured our friend, and once brought to the staff attention they removed it from the bill.. Unfortunately it was not the best...

We dined at this “restaurant” and it is the worst place we have ever eaten in all Sardinia (we come to Sardinia since 12 years). We took octopus as the main course, and they brought us a cold salad. 20 euros. Foto attached. The portion is as if someone has already eaten from this plate. I Supermarket food tastes definitely better. We turned to the owner, pointing out that we should have been informed if the dish was an “antipasto”, to which he responded dismissively: the waiter was only working here for the second day! At the same time, they charged 3 euros per person for the service!! Which service?? For paper napkin actually. Terrible experience!! Unfortunately we can not put 0 and it’s disappointing that such places ruin the impression of other many places in Sardinia where people really work hard to offer best service...
