Ristorante La Muraglia — Restaurant in Alghero

AWFUL FOOD! GOT HIVES 30mins AFTER EATING, OVERPRICED, TOURIST TRAP! 🤮🤑🤮🤑🤮 I love seafoods and been eating it all my life (island girl) but NO, not in this restaurant.. We paid €120 for food contamination! (2adult, 1 toddler) When we got back to our hotel circa 30mins. after dining in this restaurant, my body started itching. I think, it was the stuffed calamari!! We also had the Paella for 2 person that says €23 on the menu, but on the bill, they will charge you double the price! Unbelievable!!! Beware! They should make the menu clear! I usually check reviews before dining, but unfortunately, it was too late and we were really hungry at the time. There should be -5 stars but I will rate the view 11/10! I’m still itching at the moment here at the airport going back to milan😂 gonna find a pharmacy now!

PS the crew were good but the boss there needs to learn how to smile once in a while 🙃

EDIT/UPDATE: The itchiness on my back and torso gradually disappeared after taking antihistamin daily. Then, 3 days after eating here, we then flew to NAPLES and surely there will be lots of SEAFOODs. And i didn’t even hesitate to eat cuoppo di mare (mixed fried seafood). Nothing happened to meeee! One week of neapolitan food and I am still alive without a single itch!

Therefore, la muraglia’s stuffed calamare is the real culprit!!! 🤮 SAVE YOUR MONEY, pls.. WALK AWAY!

I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before going. The positives overall were more numerous than the negatives. We were seated without a reservation on a Friday night which no other restaurant could do. We had a beautiful view of the sunset. Our food arrived promptly and was very good. As for the prices, they were the same as the other restaurants. The prices in Alghero are known to be pricey. The waiters were not overly friendly and not overly present either which we personally prefer. We were able to eat without feeling bothered too often or rushed (and we eat slowly). The only negatives were that while all the waiters had their face mask on there seemed to be a defensiveness when asked about the green pass. They didn't ask for it and we just wanted to make sure they knew we had it. The waiter's aggressive response to our question made us feel a bit uncomfortable. The other negative was the crust on our dessert creme caramel was burned. Other than that, we had a lovely dinner and we are locals...

Scam. Ordered paella and asked if the price was for one dish, and got confirmation that it is. We get the food, and it's super bland, has been frozen, tasteless and just generally disappointing. When my boyfriend pays (he never looks at the check before), give me the reciept and I see we have payed for two paella dishes. I tell them that I specifically asked if the price was for one dish and they don't care. Places like this makes the world a place I don't want to live in. Never going back to Italy as the people here are super rude and everyone tries...
