Trattoria Cavour — Restaurant in Alghero

We loved this adorable restaurant! For appetizers, we had sheep cheese and bacon and also the ravioli con chicorina ripasata e pecorino, which were both rich and delicious. I had the culurgiones dogliastra con volgole, which were homemade pasta dumplings stuffed with cheese, served in a rich oil and butter sauce with clams. WOW! So flavorful. My son devoured the porchetto arosto con patate (roast suckling pig). The pork was cooked to perfection with a crispy skin on top with tender meat below, and the potatoes were amazing also. Browned and crisp on the outside and seasoned perfectly. My daughter had the maccheroncini al ferro con la purpuzza, which were long tubes of pasta with a pork ragout. She liked it, but the other two dishes were the best. The service was good, the outside seating has a lovely view and the inside seating was cool, quaint and comfortable....

Vorneweg zum Essen kann ich keine Auskunft geben! Wir fanden den Service so unterirdisch, dass wir gegangen sind und am liebsten null Sterne geben würden. Wir kamen gegen 20.05 Uhr am Restaurant an (Restaurant öffnet um 20 Uhr) - wir hatten nicht reserviert und es war für uns vollkommen in Ordnung draußen platziert zu werden, weil drinnen alles reserviert war. Wir dürften uns sogar einen Tisch aussuchen. Der Kellner meinte, wir sollen einen kleinen Moment warten - er würde eindecken. Soweit auch noch okay, auch wenn ich nicht verstehe, wieso das nicht schon eindeckt ist (Wetter war gut angesagt und es sieht ja auch einladender aus). Der Kellner wollte gerade unseren Tisch eindecken, als seine Kollegin ihm etwas sagte und er begann plötzlich, doch den anderen Tisch einzudecken. Kein „Ist das auch in Ordnung?“ oder so. Als er fertig war, wurde dann einfach kommentarlos auf den Tisch gezeigt. Es herrschte wohl Kartenknappheit, weshalb der benachbarte Vierertisch eine bekam und wir erstmal keine. Es wurde allerdings nichts kommuniziert. Also saßen wir 20 Minuten an dem Tisch, ohne Karte, ohne Getränke (hatte auch noch keine gefragt) und haben nur zwischendurch kommentarlos eine Papiertüte mit Brot auf den Tisch gelegt bekommen. Dann haben wir EINE Karte bekommen und wieder 10 Minuten da gesessen. Wir hatten nichts verzehrt, also sind wir dann gegangen. Es wäre auch vollkommen in Ordnung gewesen zusagen: „Es tut mir leid, ich habe noch keine Speisekarten für Sie. Aber kann ich Ihnen vielleicht schon etwas zu trinken bringen?“ Leider haben wir eine halbe Stunde lang leider keinen Service erfahren, obwohl wir sogar direkt neben dem Eingang saßen. Und wenn man drinnen ausgebucht ist und das personell gerade so schafft, sollte man dann vielleicht keine Tische draußen anbieten - Schild „Fully booked“ und gut ist. Oder wenn man sie unbedingt anbieten will, direkt gedeckt öffnen, dann spart man sich...

Pregi di questa trattoria sono sicuramente cibo genuino, buono e porzioni abbondanti... Come ci si aspetta da una trattoria.Il locale é caratteristico. Il servizio è apprezzabile, i camerieri tra cui moglie del proprietario (una donna coreana, ecco perché fuori il locale c'è anche una bandiera coreana) ed il figlio del proprietario (che sta anche alla cassa ed al telefono) sono efficientissimi, freneticamente impegnati... Forse troppo, due parole mi sarebbe piaciuto scambiarle(ma forse questo é un mio desiderio a causa di una mia visione romantica della trattoria) La cucina è più rilassata, ma il giusto, perché ci vuole un po' di pausa tra le portate abbondanti. Abbiamo riservato un tavolo alle 2030 ed abbiamo finito di cenare alle 2230. Abbiamo preso un antipasto diviso in due: 4 salumi tipici più olive e pecorino. sapori decisi, ottimo. Con l'antipasto abbiamo finito il carasau che ci hanno portato insieme ad altro pane, subito appena sedute con la bevanda scelta (noi purtroppo beviamo solo acqua a tavola). Per prime portate abbiamo preso una fregola ai sapori del mare fuori menu e fettuccine al polpo. Entrambi ottimi, la fregola piu delicata le fettuccine con più carattere, il polpo si oglieva in bocca: eccellenti. A questo punto eravamo già sazie, ma abbiamo provato la rana pescatrice e le patate al forno. Buone ma non esaltanti. Per dolce la sevada o sebada o seadas(dopo tanti anno ancora non ho capito il nome corretto) col miele e la mousse di yogurt con coulis di fragole...volevamo provare i dolci, non pensavamo di finirli, ma non é stato possibile fermarci. Strepitosi. Si sentiva che la pasta e il ripieno della seadas erano freschi, la mousse sorprendentemente buona. Il conto è stato di 93 euro, più che onesto. Consiglio é tra i migliori posti dove cenare ad alghero... Anche per la posizione. Ci torneremo a provare il rinomato porcetto con le patate....
