It was a very interesting experience. We didn’t check the reviews before coming to this place, it was a mistake. The place is very nice, the view is cool. So me and friends wanted to have a coffee with some desserts to try. At the beginning it was like usual, we got a bottle of water. Than we wanted to make an order. After first words the man said to us “This is a restaurant, not cafe”. He said that we can not have just a coffee and dessert. When we wanted to leave he said that we already ordered a water. Next time I better pay for this bottle of water and leave than sit in such an unfriendly atmosphere. I always leave honest feedbacks about places. So, coffee was good and desserts (tiramisu and seadas) were a disaster. I am not sure if I would eat here a normal dinner and than wait for such a dessert. A friend who has a seadas said that it was just not tasty. Tiramisu was one of the worst I ever tried in different parts of Italy. Maybe just mine was so bad because we came only for coffee and they served us an old ones. One star is only for a coffee. Maybe food is better than desserts, but after such a hospitality I would not try anything else.

After checking several restaurants, opted for this one as they advertise their paella… Ordered a starter (monkfish) and paella for two only to be told they don’t do it at lunchtime, only evening - this should be clearly stated, totally misleading. Opted for mixed antipasti (of the sea) - following the waitress recommendation - fried calamari and prawns, roasted potatoes with rosemary and mixed salad. Starter looked good but the only tasty bit was the octopus with potato purée… Calamari and prawns were over cooked and rubbery, potatoes were soggy (felt like microwaved with clingfilm on top!) and there even was a mouldy tomato in the salad! Really gutted as we have had some incredible food in Sardegna. Was expecting more from a seaside restaurant, Alghero being famous for its seafood and fish, it’s a major let down. Don’t waste your time nor money, average place.

I had lunch with my girlfriend and we took the starter seafood mix which was described on the menu: minimum 2 persons 18 euros for portion and consisted of some octopus, fried eel with tomato and chili sauce, salmon, spatula fish and mushrooms and Baccala.. the taste was OK and a pretty good size but the problem was when we got the bill it turned up 36 euros and sincerely it wasn't clear on the menu because you can only get it for 2 people but the price wrote on menu was 18. Then my partner took ravioli filled with ricotta and a tomato and pancetta sauce, I took the fregula with seafood fregula both were good. We found another surprise on the bill which was the service which was a 10 % charge out of our bill so in the end we were disappointed for the price and we felt a bit scammed. Overall lunch was just ok.

Wanted to have a seat and have a drink by the sunset on a regular Tuesday, there were a lot of empty tables. We were offered a table outside and 2 aperol spritz by a waiter, who remained professional in all of this. 10 minutes later we were asked by restaurant's manager to order food, since "it's a restaurant". We decided to order 2 side dishes since we indeed had to, as we were not hungry at all. Apparently that was not enough for such a "fancy restaurant" and "not a pub" with around 6 other empty tables around us. We were essentially kicked out of the restaurant, given our ticket and told to leave, all accompanied by weird stares from the manager. And no, this so-called "requirement" was not stated anywhere on the restaurant's front, menu or presented to us by the staff. Ridiculous treatment of guests, buying a single drink and having a sitdown for 20 minutes is a standard across civilized Europe. At least they didn't get more of my money,...
