Ristorante La Cullera — Restaurant in Alghero

Fantastic.

We ordered a primo, secundo and dolche (a pasta dish, the fish of the day, and a tirumasu) to share. Before the meal, they brought us bread with homemade butter with two pieces of anchovies. The bread was perfect, so soft on the inside with a crunchy crust. The butter was light and airy, and the anchovies were fresh. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. The pasta was a perfect al dente and the fish was served with a lovely lemony sauce and tasty greens. The tiramisu was one of the best that we have ever had in Italy.

While we were enjoying our tiramisu, Madau (I think* was his name) brought us two different types of house made digestivo. The first was similar to a limoncello but, I think, made with blood orange. The second, in the photo, was made from fennel that he gathered himself.

I cannot express how much we enjoyed the food and the service. Roberto, our server, was so nice and shared photos with us of his friend who was traveling in our home country.

i had a spectacular mezzelune (ravioli shaped like half moon), filled with artichoke and served with stewed squid and sautéed spinach. it was delicious, the pasta was perfectly made, the stuffing was mouthwatering and the stewed squid was perfect to blend the flavors, the spinach gave a different consistency and a great depth to the dish. tha waitress helped me to find the perfect withe wine to drink with my meal. my friend had a perfectly cooked fish fillet with a wonderful buttery and creamy potato mash and roasted artichoke. it was a very good lunch in a very take it easy location, sunbathing in a late february sunny day. a perfect combination to...

First off, we were not easy customers, since my wife is allergic to seafood and pregnant, so we could not eat 3/4 of the whole menu. However, since there were only limited options, that left us with very little to choose from. Grilled vegetables in a tomato sauce, culurgiones in tomato sauce, and another pasta dish in tomato sauce with lamb. For €20 per dish we simply expected more. The wine was okay, and deserts were so so.
