We came based on the good reviews but we left unimpressed. The appetizers were good and the service friendly but once the secondi piatti came they didn't come to check on us. Unfortunately, I was unhappy with my main. I ordered the fish as it was the only thing that came without potatoes and I don't eat potatoes and said it came with season vegetables "verdure di stagione". It had a small slice of eggplant, a tiny piece of pepper and a miniscule slice of onion but a big wedge of potato. I guess potato is considered a vegetable here but for me it's a starch and everywhere in the world where the side dish is vegetables, I've always received a mix of vegetables like zucchini, eggplant, red pepper and definitely more substantial. My partner's dish had potatoes as a side dish and of course the potatoes were plentiful. Unfortunately, they never asked how the food was and then we just wanted to leave as we didn't feel that was a proper dining experience anymore. Too bad for the...

Food was excellent, service unfortunatelly not. 4 cours appertizers choosen, all 4 have been served within 15 minutes, after the 4th I asked to have a break of around 15-20 minutes, seems that the waitress didn't understand but confirmed before with yes yes, the main cours was served directly after the 4th, after complaining about not beeing understood and to keep the food warm (what they haven't done) the manager of the restaurant argued that they are skilled to be quick. So we had 5 dishes within approx. 30 minutes, feeling of wanting us to be out as soon as possible. We got 2 drinks for free, by the way the tabel next to us had the same issue, the 2 ladies had more luck and got the main dish as wished later. Romantic...

This gem of a restaurant in the beautiful old town of Alghero is an absolute must. We had an amazing dinner trying their tasting menu starting with different lovely antipasti, followed by one of the best pasta dishes we have ever eaten. As secondi we had both super fresh fish and fantastic meat. We had a very interesting bottle of vermentino from Tenuta Asinara - Cayenna Submariner made with grapes that have been immersed in the sea. The wine paired perfectly with the food. A wonderful semifreddo and a taste of the local seada followed by café and Sardinian grappa completed the meal. Very attentive and friendly service and a cosy outdoor area. We will...

The staff (and Mari) are a true credit to the restaurant. As many have noted the cod croquettes are win here. The quality of the two pork dishes were brilliant, bbq pork was beautiful and tender, with the pork gnocchi (€20) one of the best dishes I’ve tried on the island, just wish it was a slightly larger portion. The fried calamari and veg was also a highlight of good quality sea food (photographed) Good assortment of well priced wine to too (€7 a glass to start). For dessert we had the semifreddo alla pinecolada and the Crema catalana both were a lovely finish to the evening with a particular nod to the pinecolada. Certainly worth a visit.

A wonderful experience from start to finish and by far the best restaurant we visited in Alghero. The booking process, welcome, food, drinks and service were exceptional. The sea bass sashimi and the pork gnocchi were amongst our favourites but every dish was absolutely delicious, as was the rose wine. We were most impressed by the lovely, warm service and hospitality, having experienced some fairly cold and dismissive service elsewhere in Alghero. We had a fabulous meal as a family and will definitely go back.
