Choosing food at Mabrouk is incredibly easy: you simply don't. There's in fact only the option to order a fixed tasting menu that is the same for any guest. Full stop.

Because of that they can deliver a great experience with high quality food at a reasonable price.

Their tasting menu is a solid one, filled with a lot of local specialities.

It also not not one of those where you just get a bite or two of each course. Their portions are instead quite large, almost the equivalent of a normal course when ordered à la carte.

The selection of appetizers was lovely and we spent some time debating which one we liked the most.

The 2 pastas were also really good. Initially we thought we found the ravioli less interesting but that was before we added the Nero di seppia which greatly enhanced the flavors. The tuna with bigoli-like pasta was instead one of the best courses we had in 1 week in Alghero. Absolutely superb.

The grilled fish they brought us was massive. They said it would have served 3 (while we were only 2) but I think it could have been ok even for 4. It was also cooked extremely well.

Dessert was surprisingly not that big but really lovely.

A really enjoyable eating experience all throughout for which you want to make sure to be hungry or you won't enjoy it fully.

In terms of quantities, there was a lot but if you are someone who likes to eat it was not unmanageable as we initially feared it would have been after having seen...

We were after some lobster in the charming Old Town area in Alghero. The staff in the bar we stopped for a drink recommended this to us without hesitation. Our wait staff were very friendly brother and sister team who I believe were nephew and niece of the chef. They serve the catch of the day. Even though we arrived too early, they agreed to let us dine even though they didn’t open until 8pm as we had a long 2 Hour + drive back to Porto Cervo. It’s a set menu but as we were too early for the pasta, (obviously made fresh) we were offered some alternatives. The whole meal per person plus local red wine AND dessert was an extremely reasonable €55. We feasted on seafood - oysters, mussels, another type of mollusc which was - vongole, dogfish, swordfish with parmigiana, mussels cooked with garlic and parsley and octopus salad. Then the hero dish came out - the most succulent, subtly sweet lobster served Sardinian style with lightly pickled onions and fresh tomato and olive oil. We were dreaming of the lobster for days. The best meal I believe I have ever had. Absolutely phenomenal. I would give 6 stars out of 5 if I could. Ps. The desserts were great as well. A creme brûlée cake (which was creme brûlée served on a delicious flakey pastry) was...

Great experience in Alghero, there was a lot of good food included in one set-menu. The seafood was very tasty and fresh as the waiter mentioned to us and as their logo says. There are 4 courses, you get 5 different antipasta, first and second course and then dessert. The waiters are very kind and friendly and the service is also exceptional. We also got some biscuits to go as we couldn't eat the dessert anymore. We were 3 people and, in my opinion, they served us one menu to all three of us, which we couldn't eat it all. I would definitely rate this restaurant 5 stars, but unfortunately, before getting to our table, the waiter explained us we get all this for a set price of 50€, but when we had to pay, he said it's 50€ each, therefore 150€ total amount. As they only served us one menu to three persons, I think we only had to pay 50€. Therefore, I find it a bit expensive and the explanation we got before going into the restaurant wasn't...

Fantastic food from a pre set menu, decided by the chef for 50€/person and well worth the money for the variety of food and wine. There were 5 starters which were great but be warned that it's really a wide range of flavors and my wife and I had a bad stomach from this. The main course which was the fish was one of the best cooked fish I have ever had and was simply delicious!!! You will be stuffed and happy at the end of it. I only advise, NOT to take the seating on the top floor (at the time of this review) as it was very poorly ventilated and the A/C didn't work very well. The manager who I told it to when paying the bill downstairs (while also complementing the food) didn't seem to care about the ventilation and was the only poor response I experienced compared to the fantastic service from the waiters above!
