Ristorante Angedras is a place to be seen, to people watch and to take beautiful pictures of your food to make people at home jealous.
As long as you don't have high expectations of the taste of the food - and a huge credit card limit - then you'll have a superb time.
The service is friendly and cheerful, the views across the water while the sun sets are stunning, and the music is peaceful and relaxing.
It's such a shame that the cookery of the food doesn't match the presentation or high prices: €40-€60 for a small fish, minimum €120 for lobster, €52+ for a paella etc etc
The table bread was stale... Always a bad omen in Italy.
We had the octopus and the mussel stew for starters. The poor cephalopod was so overcooked that it had passed the feared rubbery stage and turned into a rock. We could barely cut it with the knife. I did mention this to the waiter who came over but he just said he'd talk it to the chef.
The mussels were actually cooked nicely but the "stew" was just watery tinned tomatoes with no flavour.
For main we shared a paella. As another reviewer mentioned, this is priced at €26 for a minimum of two people but actually the price is per person.
The rice was tasty and generous but there certainly wasn't enough seafood to justify the cost sadly. There was one prawn and one langoustine each - the chef hadn't cleaned them or removed their poo-shoots so we had to do this ourselves which is really unacceptable and very off-putting when eating dinner. The clams and mussels were okay but very small so it was a mission to find them. Overall, this was the most money I've ever paid for yellow rice.
The dessert of tiramisu, according to the husband, was one of the best he'd had so well done the pastry chef.
This ristorante would be perfect for your evening drink or perhaps a dessert after your main meal elsewhere but I'd give it a miss if you want good Italian cooking.
We had dinner a different day in a little place near Fertilia Beach (with orange beach umbrellas) and the food was far superior cooked from a little shack. €18 for the same sized fish with...

After an hour without our food, watching others eating and leaving, we asked how long it would be. The waitress returned to say that they had had an ‘issue’ in the kitchen and our order had been missed/not sent to the kitchen. When it arrived I honestly wished we’d walked away.
The Carbonara di Mare was barely warm and consisted of about 2” pieces of pasta swarming in oil. (€1 per piece). We were charged €20 for this dish despite the menu showing €18.
The paella was €26 each, and honestly I’ve had better tasting versions for the frozen section in supermarkets. The seafood was barely warm as well.
We ordered a small glass of coke and lemonade which was not shown on the menu, and was charged at €5 each.
And finally, when ordering the fish of the day which was shown on the menu as a starter at €16 (no other fish of the day was on the menu) we got charged €38!
We were presented with a €152 bill for the 4 of us, and quite frankly it’s the worst meal we’ve had on the whole island. Angedras, you...
