Trattoria-Rosticceria Cenzino — Restaurant in Altamura

We came at 19:35 and was alone (2 adults 3 young kids 12,8,7). They were welcoming and upfront said he is only serving local dishes and meat.

He didn’t show us a menu, only when we asked after he served starters to realize the shared starters are 8 euro per person..

The starters had chinked that kids liked but he didn’t offer more, and we were shy to ask.

Than main course was meat. Again, not from menu and price not clear. Two plates of meat, one with some sausages (not something the kids eat or like) and another plate with good steak.

Overall experience was ok. However honest pricing should have been put out

40 euro for starters is a lot 36 euro for these two plates (shared by 5 people) is also a lot.

Bill ended 94 euro for starters and two main courses. (Wine, water,cope)

It was not terribly bad but We would not go back, we prefer to choose our course and honest...

How anyone calls this a hidden gem I don’t know. Went on a couple positive reviews but got there and it was empty. Persevered. Mistake. Nobody came in the whole hour I was there. Food was below average and was like heated supermarket ready meals. All the “local appetisers” were so salty and hard to eat. Main was a plate of grilled meat which the waiter brought in through the front door, so never saw or heard it cooked. Dubious. It was very dry and again something that could be picked up at a supermarket stall. Really disappointed. Didn’t argue the over high charge as I just wanted out....

Posto abbastanza pulito, personale terrorizzato dal proprietario, appena affacciati alla porta pensavo che mi stesse facendo una rapina, invece si lamentava che nn avevamo la mascherina e con molta preoccupazione, al che gli ho risposto la tolgo fra 2 decimi di secondo mi sono già seduto nn è il caso, cosa volete mangiare mi dice?lui stesso ti obbliga a scegliere quello che lui dice , è arrivato un antipasto decantatisdimo dove mi si è accapponata la pelle per nn dire le palle, delle olive con mandorla funghi coltivati micro polpette 4 pezzi di formaggio una salsiccia che io trovo nei cesti di Natale , decantata come punta di coltello che nn abbia mai mangiato, e meno male, tutto ciò a 32€ arriva l’arrosto dell’artista,inghiomerelli buonismi , ma il resto voleva essere ucciso secca bruciata e fredda la salsiccia fatta nel microonde secondo me ,arrivano da fuori le pietanze, 46€ Credetemi 6 dolcetti tanto decantati ci voleva lo schiaccia noci per romperli 8€ conclusione, sto andando in pizzeria a prendere una pizza xk ho fame , 4 persone 100€ e nn abbiamo mangiato nulla abbiamo sentito solo chiacchiere presentazioni e tentata vendita , io vi consiglio di provare questa esperienza, lui riceve le persone, lui le fa sedere, lui propone lui decide lui sparecchia lui apparecchia lui cucina lui prepare lui fa il conto ,...
