Break House — Restaurant in Aosta

Waiter spilt a bunch of red wine on my white pants. Not a big deal, there are ways to get stains out, I wasn't even upset as I've worked as a waitress and could only imagine how awful the poor waiter must have felt. Mistakes happen, we're human.

However I was unimpressed by the managements response. We requested a bottle of sparkling water to put on the red wine stain, to increase the chances of it coming out - standard move. I was later charged for this. At the end of our meal everyone ordered a limoncello, they claimed to offer this to us on the house because of pouring red wine on me which was a bit of an insult as basically every restaurant offers a free limoncello at the end of your meal, so to claim it as their way of generosity was a joke. Even if it wasn't, I'd prefer my meal gets discounted rather than all my friends at the table reap benefits from this. So in all, they did nothing to try and make up for it, no discount, and yet went out of their way to charge me for the sparkling water used to try to remove the stain they caused. I don't blaim the waiter, the food was good - but the management definitely has room for improvement. Nous avons mangé aujourd'hui dans ce restaurant. Les points importants : Service correct (assez rapide, bien qu'on ne nous ait pas proposé de quoi boire : nous avons demandé la boisson au moment du plat) ; Risotto del mare e della terra que je n'ai pas trouvé très bon. Les patates qui s'y trouvaient avaient le goût de simples patates à l'eau, s'associaient donc très mal au plat ; les morceaux de tomate n'étaient pas toujours bien choisis. Pas horrible, mais sans plus. Pour le prix, 17 euros, j'ai trouvé ça exagéré ; Calzone que mon compagnon a trouvé assez satisfaisante. Je n'ai pour ma part pas trouvé la pâte très bonne. Je pense en tout cas que la partie pizzas de la carte est meilleure que le risotto et autres ; J'ai pris un coca-cola censé être à pression (il n'y avait malheureusement pas de rafraîchissements italiens, ce qui m'a déçue...) et qui était écoeurant. Pas même pétillant, et je doute qu'il soit à pression, vu sa tête. Pour moi, c'est le goût du coca qu'on a ouvert depuis un moment... Le pain est une pure honte : datant d'au moins deux jours, même la mie était sèche et rèche. Je voulais en prendre un bout et je n'ai pas pu me résoudre à le manger. Dans un restaurant, on s'attend à du pain correct, du jour ; La musique (peut-être pas liée au resto) était sympa mais trop forte, dehors ; La première personne sur la table à notre droite ainsi que le couple derrière ont fui bien rapidement en voyant le menu... On nous a donnés un menu en italien et un menu en anglais. Deux menus en italien aurait été bien mieux. On ne nous a pas demandés notre avis. Nous n'avons pas voulu prendre de dessert dans...

I felt very good here. Every time I ate here I feel fully satisfied. Thank You. Some opinions I read feels to me like people wish to be treaded like fussy princesses. It is nice and cosy premises, with friendly approach to customer. I don't know if food is up to some super high standards of 3 star Michelin stars. To me food was always very good or delicious.
