OFFICINE — Restaurant in Arezzo

WOW!! Absolutely LOVED Officine. Located within walking distance from the Piazza San Francesco is this unassuming gem of a restaurant in Arezzo. We had the pleasure of having a lovely lunch here this week with delectable choices. This light lunch menu left be completely stuffed and happy. The talented chef and staff created combinations that were authentic and different with imagination. Every course was just a little flavor to remind you, you were in Tuscany but also that "this dish" was new and creative with local flair.

Service was impeccable and attentive. I began with a chicory and tomato dish with a poached egg and pecorino cheese FRATTAU ED ERBE AMARE, and my husband had the Ossobuco di tacchina. I also enjoyed the Zuppa Antica with orzo, lemon, fish, butter, and chicory. YUM!! For dessert we had the Pera Royale which was a wine soaked pear stuffed with caramel and served with chocolate mousse.

This unforgettable meal in Arezzo makes me long for a return visit to the city and to see what other creations the chef will create! Well done to this well-done...

What a fantastic find! We were wandering the streets of Arezzo looking for a nice lunch restaurant when this place caught our eye due to the chic styling and interesting menu. We sat in the lovely shaded terrace and had the most wonderful lunch. The menu offers lots of interest and a variety of options beyond the usual Tuscan classics; lots of delicious salads and large open sandwiches. I particularly loved the guinea fowl main; I think the best I’ve ever had. The wine was delicious and the service was charming. I will 100% return to this fabulous restaurant next time...

Una sola stella perché, arrivata in questa location alle 14:30 domando se posso accomodarmi per pranzare, la risposta della persona che mi ha accolta è stata, che sono in chiusura con la cucina; quindi devo ordinare e mangiare subito. Questo per me non era un problema perché avevo altro da fare dopo.

Mi siedo a tavola, ordino e mi arrivano i due piatti. Faccio la foto, erano bellissimi da vedere 🤩

Inizio a mangiare e spunta un capello.

La verità quel piatto mi piaceva tantissimo dalla presentazione fino al gusto, quando ho visto che c’era dentro, sono andata dalla Signora Cameriera e gli ho detto:

“chiedo scusa, ho trovato un capello nel piatto e non posso continuare a mangiarlo “ ,

Lei risponde, testuali parole: “E suo o mio?”

Sono rimasta un po’ senza parole, e poi aggiunge:

“Le posso ritirare il piatto, ma non posso fare un altro piatto perché siamo in chiusura.”

Alla fine ho mangiato l’altro piatto, con l’ansia che ci fosse qualcos’altro di strano nel cibo, ho pagato e sono andata via.
