I had already spotted this place from home, before setting off for Arezzo. What attracted me from afar? The truffle. When, on the other hand, I was lucky enough to find the last free table, in addition to the great quality cuisine and sensational flavours, the second thing that delighted me was the environment I found. Certainly the maximum attention to the customer, but even before it, the passion they put into it. I breathed passion for this profession, collaboration and impeccable teamwork to achieve the result they show. Excellence! The restaurant offers appetizers, first courses, side dishes and desserts. Does it seem little? Let's talk about it after ordering an appetizer which is at least for two people. In the chopping board we have chosen, for example. The cold cuts all with truffles and so also the cheeses, warm up our palates to the real important courses: First courses. We chose the pici with porcini mushrooms and truffles and the triangles stuffed with potatoes and grated truffle. The pasta is all rigorously handmade. Impeccable cooking and the flavour, kidnapped me to such an extent that I haven't left the triangle for my husband to taste... he will forgive me I hope 😅. Even desserts, in their purely aesthetic simplicity, hide the magical touch of passion. I tasted a tart with orange marmalade and ginger. A great combination, the bitterness of the orange disappears. Awesome, it was still crumbly when I bit into it. Excellent value for money. Portions are generous and the quality is high. In my opinion, a stop you can't skip if you...
Read more09/2021: Prompted by the favorable reviews we walked bye this place several times. Sunday evenings and Mondays it is closed. Tuesday night, we finally found it open and got a table outside. Paper tablecloth with a textile like touch. Very nice glasses for water and wine. No cover charge(!). One liter. of water 1 Euro sparkling or still. We chose pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffle slices and pasta with ragout of wild boar. Generous servings. Both very good, but I will confess that I had a wild boar ragout the night before that was considerably more intense in taste. A bottle of excellent 2016 Syrah from neighboring Cortona was 15 Euro. For dessert we chose the flourless chocolate tart (yummie) with good coffee. While we were enjoying our food, we watched other tables being served with delicious looking plates of cold cuts and cheese. Nothing to complain about, fake review after all? No. They serve typical Tuscan bread. Not a single grain of salt inside. Tastes like cardboard. What a pity. Update 12/2022: Same...
Read moreWent there for lunch. Excellent food, fresh home made pasta’s, very well prepared. Carpaccio excellently seasoned, one of best and most tasty I ever had (should put this dish on the menu!). Bruschette also very good. They have very nice (Umbrian) wines also available per glass. Welcoming and friendly staff. Pragmatic attitude: one of our children wanted a piadine from the neighboring restaurant. We felt a bit awkward - for them it was no problem. Good coffee although my caffe macchiato was served a bit too hot for my tasting. Location is really relaxed. You will find the restaurant together with other restaurants in a small side street from the main shopping street. Sitting outside of course adds to the experience.
