Osteria Dar Compare — Restaurant in Ariccia

The service was terrible, they charged us for 8 eur more then we actually ate for. After 20 mins of showing them their menu and prices, they agreed to return the money. 20 mins of my life were wasted on arguing. The old lady was threatening to call the police but never did as she knew we were right. If you go to this place, be extremely careful with your bill and always check what you are paying for The food was average Absolutely not recommended, they are liars

To be more precise, we paid by card(30€) and then realised that we ate for only 23€, we went back to ask what was that for, they gave us a precise bill with the calculation, where apparently the prices were different from the menu(+1€ for a dish), they added bread which we did not order and did not ask for and in the end charged service, which we refused to pay after being treated like that and cheated. 8/1/21 Pane al pane e vino al vino, vado con la mia ragazza dopo una mattinata passata serenamente ad Ariccia, di solito ci rechiamo all'Aricciarola, per noi la migliore Fraschetta di Ariccia qualità e prezzo, ci ritroviamo alle 14:15 che era tutto pieno e ci rechiamo verso il Number 1, ultima delle fraschette della discesa per chi conosce.. Ci ferma una signora bionda, titolare penso, molto entusiasta che ci invita a provare questa "osteria", invogliati dall'orario e dalla fame entriamo dentro. Ci consigliano il tagliere per una persona da dividere e un primo a testa, noi accettiamo.. ci portano due ciotoline di trippa al sugo e fagioli con cotiche, un tagliere davvero per uno: una salsiccietta secca, metà coppietta da dividere in due cioé neanche una intera, una polpetta piccolissima, un quadrato di polenta, 5 olive, due fette di porchetta e 2 di prosciutto crudo e due verdure sott'olio, questo é costato 22 euro, 14 il tagliere che avevamo chiesto e la trippa e i fagioli che noi pensavamo che erano inclusi, non li avevamo chiesti noi e ci hanno portato loro 8 euro.. Tralasciando questo scandalo, probabilmente perché il locale non se lo fila nessuno, i primi erano accettabili, constatando che anche li hanno le porzioni contate al grammo, saranno 80 grammi di pasta credo. Un antipasto per 1, 2 primi, un acqua e 1/4 di vino 43 euro, ho detto tutto.. Aggiungo che nessuno ha controllato il green pass, completamente sconsigliato. PS. Rispondo qui, almeno ho un diritto di risposta, fatti un giro nelle fraschette a fianco alla tua sempre piene, che cosa si mangia con 21,50 a persona, e non un antipatistino minimale al massimo e un primo contato, tral'altro sei una persona falsa perché su 20 clienti che c'erano non lo avete chiesto a nessuno, la peggiore "osteria" e Noi le abbiamo girate tutte, sicuramente a mai...

Not a bad place, not a great one. Food is fine, but not exceptional. Good porchetta, but you can find the same quality everywhere around there. It's a bit expensive since portions are not as big a they usually are in a similar place. Their wine is awful, avoid romanella since it's really low quality. Their traditional biscuits are not bad, but not up to the standars that we locals know. We decided to go there because the old woman who runs it was very nice while we were choosing, but we regretted our choice a bit, since it hadn't enough appeal to make us go back...
