Absolutely unbelievable food. My husband got the same wild boar ragu, but with freshly made tagliatelle. Everything was so delicious and we discovered a new product similar to balsamic called Saba which is a mix of grape + apple with cinnamon and cloves... amazing on almost everything. Porchetta with red onions was divine. And the local Salami and cheese plate was an excellent way to taste the flavors of the region. We loved the atmosphere and the server was fantastic. Would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back if we ever return to Assisi.

We stopped here for lunch. We were accepted very nice and approached immediately with lady who explained the whole menu for us and served us wine. They recommended us a few things and we went with it. The lunch was amazing! Very nice staff and pasta was really good. The thing that surprised me the most was parmigiana. Since I was never a fan of it, we decided to try this one. I loved it! Great place with very friendly staff who will take care of you. I recommend, 10/10!!!!

The restaurant it's a little treasure. We had our lunch surrounded by old Roman walls belonging to the old settlement. This alone was enough to create a great experience. Then the food. Amazing quality. Probably the best Gnocchi I've ever had. The staff was super competent and very friendly. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for a great atmosphere and high quality food. Can't wait to be back.

We had such high hopes, based on the reviews. But, the rudeness made us get up and leave. We came at 6:30, during their advertised 6-7pm "Apericena Happy Hour". We planned to have a leisurely evening, starting with had been promised as a generous aperitivo, and then stay there for dinner. My husband is Italian, and we've done this in other cities. The place was empty at 6:30pm, and my husband asked if they are doing the aperetivo. The waiter answered, "are you going to have dinner?" as though gauging if we were going to cough up enough money to be worth his while. And because we planned to do both, my husband said yes. We were given the menu, which included an advertisement of their Apericena. I pointed to that page and asked whether they were doing that. The waiter looked at me as though I grew two heads, and said in Italian, "yes but only between 6 and 7 pm" to which I replied, "it is between 6 and 7pm" and the guy looked affronted and finally said, "well I can make you the spritz or cocktail, and you can have it with your dinner." He was unpleasant, and I felt that he wanted to strongly imply that we were being silly (or bluntly, cheap!) for daring to ask about their advertised promo! We decided to take our...

Far beyond expectations: so much more than a cafe (it doesn't even do breakfasts). This is more like a restaurant/wine bar with good food and a great wine selection. We arrived just before they closed one evening, but even though there kitchen was closing down, the helpful owner was able to offer us a combo bruschetta, salumi and cheese board (we were entirely happy we opted for the small one!), plus a wonderful lentil soup and a torte (flatbread) with greens. And a wide range of wine by the glass. We did a vertical tasting of one of their bio suppliers. Yea! The place was good enough that we went back for lunch a couple of days later. We'd hoped to eat and leave. The food was just as good, and although the service was just as friendly, it was really slow. (Maybe we're just not used to lingering for an hour over 20 minutes of eating.) But the food was still good enough that we'd go back. A great place if you can take your time...
