Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before entering the restaurant in a hurry. Everything was disastrous from start to finish, starting with the presentation of the all you can eat concept, which is what attracted me to enter the restaurant. There are 4 types of menu for this category and you can order some items on the one you choose, but the owner didn't let me opt for the menu I wanted and pushed me for the most expensive menu which had more options for meat meals, and we don't eat any meat. We then gave up ordering the all you can eat menu because it wasn't exactly what we expected and ordered a la carte. Everything just got worse and worse, the food came in a tiny size but of colossally horrendous proportions. They brought a mango lassi that looked and tasted like a watery yogurt from a supermarket. The service is terrible and they even put a child to work at the reception when there are several adults from the staff in the kitchen chatting without doing much, since almost no one goes in the place. We ordered two dishes that were practically undrinkable, I've never had such a bad experience in a restaurant in terms of the taste of food, it's surprising how lifeless and tasteless the food can be. It almost ruined my day cause for a second I thought that I could never go out for eating anymore, and that that was a punishment of the Italian gods for me to even dare to eat something other than...
Read moreThis place filled me with a great deal of sadness. I was the only guest in the course of a one hour and twenty minutes sitting. I believe anyone with the guts of starting a business and running it deserves praise for their efforts. My goodness. I have been to funerals more jolly than this. The person behind the counter was not in any way impolite, just extremely uninterested in anything. I am ok with that. I was polite and spoke both Italian and English to say thank you for every order I made. There was not even a grunt in return. It’s ok. Everyone has a bad day. The food arrived. I have not visited India, my food experience with Indian food is from north Western Europe and Singapore mostly. What I got did not resemble anything I have ever seen before. In the thinnest sauce I have seen was a few floating mutton pieces, but mostly bone. My Nan was the strangest nan I have seen, I think it was not a nan but a small skinny rota. The meal was not expensive, but very small, I ended up buying another meal across the street later. What I will remember the most is the sadness of the place, taken out of a movie. I think there are happier places for you to visit when you are in Bari. Better food...
Read moreI was in Bari for a day and was missing Indian food. I ran into someone from Bangladesh in the supermarket.I asked him about an Indian restaurant in the neighbourhood and he strongly suggested me this restaurant.I looked around for the same man for an hour after having the dinner from this restaurant so that I could punch him. I ordered butter chicken and chicken curry with naan and rice. The only thing worth eating was Rice. Both the chicken curries were awful. I could easily sense that it was boiled chicken mixed with same curry but the difference was red chilly powder. The naan was an insult to the Indian naan. The staff had a serious look on his face and I am sure those who have given positive reviews had the gun pointed on their head...
