Kura — Restaurant in Bergamo

We were here 4.9.24 for dinner. The place is beautiful and the quality of raw fish is outstanding. In the food department the only disappointment was creamed tuna on the menu = cooked tuna (same as canned tuna that you buy at the supermarket)

Everything else was delicious.

From the beginning we were met with a server that was unbelievably grumpy and brusque. When she interacted with her colleagues she visibly soured their moods and made them tense.

In short it was uncomfortable. At some point a nice girl took over and my my what a difference it made.

Overall I would gladly try again but never again with the miserable server.

CENA ESPERIENZA DA FAST FOOD

Ieri festeggiavo l'anniversario di matrimonio e abbiamo deciso di concederci una cena speciale coi nostri 2 figli. Così abbiamo prenotato al Kura, le opzioni erano 19 e 21.30, abbiamo optato per le 19. Siamo arrivati in ritardo di circa 40 minuti, anche perché non è facile trovare parcheggio e poco prima di arrivare ho ricevuto una chiamata che mi chiedeva se stavamo arrivando. Io ho spiegato la situazione ed ho chiesto se era un problema perché altrimenti avrei trovato un'alternativa, di ristoranti è pieno il mondo, mi è stato risposto che non c'era problema. Ci sediamo e prima nota dolente non hanno acqua in bottiglia da più di 0,5 litro. Ordiniamo un menù degustazione, i piatti cominciano a piovere sul tavolo senza nemmeno darci il tempo di finire, sembrava l'ingozzo dei polli. Alle 20.20 avevamo già terminato le portate. Su queste vorrei aprire una parentesi, a mio avviso la qualità è un po' calata, inoltre non è possibile portare portate in cui bisogna calcolare come suddividere i pezzi di pesce perché ne mettono 3 per tipo, livelli di avarizia mai visti, soprattutto visto il costo. Insomma, arrivati a fine menù avevamo ancora fame e abbiamo deciso di prendere un altro piatto. Ce lo hanno impedito dicendoci che dovevamo liberare il tavolo, dopo solo 40 minuti in cui ci eravamo seduti! Vergognatevi, non c'è stato un minimo di cura nel servizio, gentilezza, premura o atmosfera. Totale conto 220€: 4 menù da fame, 4 acque e una bottiglia di vino da 20€. I loved this place, I visited twice during my short stay in Bergamo. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient. I had one minor thing to tell the lady at the register and she fixed it perfectly. It is a pleasure to be sat watching the sushi process, feels very clean and professional.
