Taverna del Gallo da Salvatore — Restaurant in Bergamo

Definately place to vizit. While in Citta Bassa it seems a most of places are hipster oriented, this one seems more inclined to the traditional side. We ere able to sit in there only 'cuz my friends insisted to book in advance, place was all booked during our dining. The evening was dedicafed to sea food, grilled, fried etc., and we all liked it. My most lovely point was the house wine 8€ per litre. They also have two kinds of great draft beer, not moretti. A separate mention goes to the serving staff, they all are hard working, pleasant and dedicated persons. Wine, beers, food cost us 95 €...

Saturday night in Bergamo, no tables available at the first 3 restaurants we tried but there was space here. Frankly we’d have taken anything edible by that stage but this was so much better than that. A delicious squid ink pasta, fantastic 3-meat pizza (go big or go home, I say), a cracking bottle of Valpolicella, tiramisu, panacotta (both delicious) and 2 espresso. The price? €66. That was the last place i visited in Bergamo. I was amazed by how people were kind and funny. They made my night the best in life. Food was perfectly delicious, we ordered pizza, fish in vegetables and salad. Pizza was really good, fishomg that was an experience, that taste, i can't compare it to anything i ate. After we ate everything we ordered a dessert, chocolate suflet l love chocolate so it was obviously good...
