Owned by a couple. You can feel that this place is truly authentic! PS. Make sure you book your table in advance!
Outside looks really plain, but as soon as you enter, it feels like we have entered an old tavern. We were greeted with a smile by the owner, a true gentleman who had set our seat next to the window.
Atmosphere is very comfortable and quiet just the way we like it. We were the first to arrive (opens at 12:15pm), but shortly it started to fill up from guests who are solo, couples and family.
Dishes ordered: -Risotto al Taratufo -Tagliatelle al Ragu -Lasagna verdi alla bolognese -Torta Cioccolata e nutella con mascarpone + espresso
So far my top rated Bologna cuisine!
The truffle risotto was mouth watering, rice cooked to prefection, where the fresh truffle slices with cheese just explodes in your mouth with every bite; you just can't stop digging in. The Tagliatelle looks very simple, but as soon as you take a bite and start chewing, a mix of diverse flavors will dance in your mouth, by the way the more you chew, the better the flavor! The Lasagna was interesting, because it is homemade with spinach and was not overly meaty or saucy, but a perfect balance of creamy and savory; just melts in your mouth! Now the Torta was surprisingly good! A nutella based cake topped off with smooth mascarpone mousse! The cake is rich with chocolate and that mousse just balances off the sweetness!
Makes we wanna go for round 2!
Highly recommended!
The couple are very sweet and made me feel like my grandparents were looking after me, while I was enjoying their cooking.

Read moreWe got so lucky and walked in as someone cancelled their reservation. The table I got had been booked for 2 weeks. This was hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had.
The service and atmosphere of the restaurant was so welcoming and warm. It felt like stepping into someone’s home.
First, an exceptional truffle risotto-the best I have ever tasted! The lasagna was incredibly flavorful-top 2 I’ve ever had, I’d say it was the most classic and comforting. The bolognese was very classic and balanced, but I’d have gone for one of their other dishes because it’s a more simple dish that you can try at many restaurants in Bologna. Maybe I’m just sad that I couldn’t try everything on the menu.
For dessert, the panna cotta was lovely, and the apple cake with ice cream was a standout.

From the risotto to the dessert to the potatoes, everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Pair that with the most warm and inviting service by the beautiful owners and you’ve got yourself the perfect night.
It’s been weeks since I’ve tasted the truffle risotto and I’m still dreaming about it. It was THAT delicious. I cleaned the plate!
And the side of potatoes - oh my goodness I didn’t think potatoes could be that good!!! Just the perfect amount of salt, fat, and herbs that is oh so crisp and buttery.
I could go on and on about just how amazing the food is and it still would not be enough praise for this amazing establishment.
Thank you so much to the owners for making me feel welcomed.
