Trading on its former reputation I’m afraid. We ate here a few days ago for dinner and weren’t impressed. The menus are overly fussy and complex. We needed to cross refer to a separate meat menu just to choose what steak we wanted. The waitress was tired and fed up, the service was inattentive and slow. When the secondi did show up after 40 mins from the primi, it was disappointing to say the least - my Castile red pork was tough and lacked flavour. I ate what I could of it. The tortellini in broth was decent. From my understanding, the restaurant has changed and used to have a much more simple menu with excellent food. Sadly this is no longer the case. Nor was the restaurant full, which I understand it used to be. For the higher end price of the food we were left feeling we had better value and better quality food at other Bolognese institutions such as Drogheria della Rosa, which was far superior...

I had home-made spaghetti with a fabulous broccoli foam, with garlic, flavoursome olive oil, anchovies, chilli and a fine dusting of fried breadcrumbs which added a subtle crunch. My fellow diner had stuffed Zuchini in a tomato sauce with cheese and pepper balls ... and what he got was melt-in-the-mouth sweet zucchini melded with a savoury tomato sauce and cut through with pepper and strong cheese.

Definitely one of the places to eat bolognese in Bologna.
The ambiance of the restaurant and the attitude of the staff was great. Olive oil is served before the meal. Also, even though we went there close to closing time, they accepted us and were very attentive. They continued to take care of us until we left the restaurant.
