Sadly, our excitement for the dinner found a halt before entering the venue. We had a reservation but stood in line, the waiter was racist and called us sensitive. Waiting to be served was just like a doctor’s office. Everyone who arrived after us was treated before. The food was okay but they added items to our check without letting us know that the complementary sauces were in fact not complementary. Food was okay but not better than any other restaurant we tried. Would not recommend.

As it is sadly not possible to answer, I will just edit my review: Comments such as “your nationality should know where to stand in line”, “your nationality always needs it to go quick”, “your nationality has no humor” and “your nationality is always so sensitive” is if not racist then stereotypical in a very rude way. Seeing everyone who arrived after us get served before us is not okay. Having to ask every single waiter who passed if we can order and always getting “yes in a minute” and then not coming for a long time is not okay. If we only order one (vegetarian) thing and you ask if we also eat meat due to the sauces, that ended up being extra and not part of the dish, we do not get out the menu again to recheck. It was not clear to us, that it did not belong to the dish as bruschettas with homemade sauces are part of the dish and we assumed it was about the sauces part of the dish and not additional sauces we did not ask for when stating our order.
I do not care for you validating your responses based on some statistics you share. Not serving, adding costs, being rude overall is not okay to a single customer, even if you did not mistreat the other...
Read moreVisited on a day trip to join my brother, sister in law and 2 year old nephew on holiday after a busy weekend in Bologna.
Positives: Delicious food. Really nice atmosphere and decorations.
Negative: The hosts and bartenders at the front were very friendly. However, once seated the service and waiter was quite unfriendly with our table. We made a reservation in advance and we're put in the back room. My sister in law requested a booster chair for my nephew. We bought the large sharing platter and thus we're not so hungry, so shared two carafes of wine, and pasta/soup, local foods and appetizers between the couples at the table, with my nephew just having some of what we'd ordered. There was another family behind us with small children as well. Both they and my nephew were being quiet, seated, not causing any issues. However, the waiter was still short and cold to us. At one point, my sister in law helped the table next to us as they requested we take a photo of them, and so she was chatting with them a bit since she speaks fluent Mandarin. The waiter came by and took the camera from her, and told her to sit back at our table (though she wasn't bothering the other patrons, they approached us and we're excited to chat with someone who could speak their language about things to do in Bologna.)
Unsure what we may have done to upset the waiter. Maybe we didn't order enough food to make our patronage worth his time, but the restaurant was far from busy on a Monday night. I'd be the first to say if my nephew was throwing tantrums or if we were being too loud, but it was a normal family dinner. Unsure why the greeting was...
Read moreI am sure the team is expecting this after walking out tonight after only having a bottle of water. I would have loved to write a good review, and I can’t say that I tried the food but the service was disgusting. I have been in Italy for a month and have never experienced such rudeness. We were greeted by the lady in the black singlet tonight ( potentially manager or matredre) in which we said we had a reservation for 7.30 ( it was 7.35 ) and the entire restaurant was empty. We asked if we could sit at the end, in which she said second row BUT then said except if you want to sit on the corner in which we did. I then heard her loudly and rudely say, I just told them to sit on the second row ( in the quiet restaurant ) to the other girl staff member. I straight away felt uncomfortable and were given only horrible looks. I then said it is not even worth trying to the food as the staff were so rude so I asked my partner to go up and pay for the bottle of water they served us in which he did so we could leave. Once we payed we were greeted with 4 staff members directly talking about the situation and looking at us as we walked off. I never write bad reviews but I have never come across a situation like this since being in Italy. I would have loved to try the food but please remember service and staff really do make...
