Cantina Bentivoglio — Restaurant in Bologna

We went to the jazz section of the restaurant. I ordered a Cheese Choice as a starter and a Tagliatelle Ragu as main dish. The cheese was good, but it was a bit too much cheese for a starter in my opinion. The Tagliatelle was very good for 10€. However, I tried some dishes from friends I went with, and some of them were not very good. The Tortellini with cheese was not that great... It was a hit dry and the cheese brought too strong of a flavour to the dish. Also, one of the salads with anchovies only had one single anchovy in it so... a bit disapointing.

The ambient was great, and the service was too. The music adds a really nice touch to the experience. Be mindful that you might pay a service fee.

Overall, it was a bit too expensive for what they served, and along side with some dishes I didnt find that good, I dont really want to come back, except...

We came here for the Jazz music for my mother’s birthday, but the musician was extremely late. The schedule on the website was they were suppose to start at 8:00pm. We are still inside the restaurant now and it’s almost 10:00pm. There are still no signs of the musician.

The food was good, but they the champagne was not cold enough and they missed out to serve our beef tartar (my mother’s main course) and bolognese ramen.

It was such a bad place to celebrate my mother’s birthday.

We ordered our food at 8:30pm. We got to eat our food, then after they asked us if we want to have dessert. We have ordered our dessert and additional wine. Few minutes ago at 10:30pm only they tried to serve us the beef tartar and the ramen bolognese. Unfortunately I have to decline the food as it...

There is no reason one should book at Cantina Bentivoglio only for a meal and not also for the music, although this option is at hand if you really wish to.

CB gets full 5 ⭐️ for atmosphere, cosyness, service, entertainment and food.

But I don’t feel like leaving here the full score as, to my taste at least, the duck breast came a teensy bit not warm enough (still very enjoyable).

The other one you see in the pics is not a dessert but a starter! It was so intriguing and when the tongue doesn’t meet the eye, the experience is even more fun 🤩.

It’s a wonderful place, especially if you are in for a romantic time with your loved one, or even if you wanna dip your toes into some great jazz.
