This is a week late my apologies… so me and my boyfriend were staying local and decided to go to a local restaurant before our flight the next day and the people there were so friendly, so welcoming and really made us feel comfortable. So we had the antipasto as starter, then both the special pasta dishes that weren’t on the menu, mine was black tortellini filled with cheese and rosemary, my boyfriend had the tagliatelle ragu with porcini mushrooms and they smelled divine and tasted superb. I loved my boyfriend’s dish so much that I’ve bought myself porcini mushrooms at home in the UK! We both had the bolognese cutlet (pork cutlet topped with Parmesan and Prosciutto) and for a boyfriend who thinks peas are ‘green earth circles’ and despises them at all costs, we ate everything. Read moreThis lovely place was recommended by the bnb we were staying at nearby. It's very unassuming, very small inside, but has an incredibly beautiful patio area with ivy and grape vines. They can definitely accommodate a small or a very large group (with calling ahead). The young waiter who served me spoke English and brought me a simplified English menu. He was very helpful in giving recommendations, too.
This little gem seems to be an authentic experience in Bologna, so I highly recommend coming casually or dressed up if you can get a seat on the patio. Situata un poco fuori dal centro, fuori dalla confusione, in un bellissimo scorcio, tranquillo e caratteristico. Personale gentile e caloroso, molto alla buona ma molto efficente. Verso le 22:30 è uscito dalla cucina il cuoco, un savio signorotto, probabilmente già in pensione; noi abbiamo dedotto che la magia e la bontà dei piatti che stavamo degustando fosse tutto merito suo, della passione e dell'esperienza che quell'uomo emanava. Finita la cena abbiamo avuto il piacere di scambiare 4 chiacchiere con la cameriera, che finito il turno è uscita per fumare una sigaretta, con la quale abbiamo potuto intrattenere un paio di piacevoli discorsi.
