Rostelle and Co. Bologna — Restaurant in Bologna

We went to this restaurant on 6/07/2022, after reading all the positive reviews. I would like to give a zero star rating but I can't so it is one star. I don't have a personal opinion on the dishes, because after 55 minutes the only thing that we were served was the drinks and a cold bruschette. The decoration of the place is beautiful admittedly but the staff are not professionals. They served 5 tables of locals who came AFTER us and it took them 55 minutes and 3 riders to get the beers. We never managed to taste the rest of the dishes we had ordered because as they said: we forgot about your table. Not to mention the fact that they placed us on a table inside because they were supposedly fully booked. However every other group who sat inside was transferred to the outdoor area after a few minutes and of course they were all served and accommodated before us. Overall if you are not a Bologna citizen, you will probably not be served. We left of course after this long wait feeling disappointed, exasperated and hungry.

RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS COMMENT:

1: THE wait was 55 minutes and which part of "you served 5 tables that arrived AFTER US" you don't understand???

The money was 15,4 euros according to the menu... 1 beer, 1 cola and the COLD bruschette. Are you implying that there are hidden charges not appearing on the menu?

Yes, the owner did not accept our money- to her defense- but she brought ONLY THE arrosticini the moment we had already gotten up. I am sorry you had to throw away the food, you could have brought it 30 minutes earlier.

Yes, she offered the meal for free but still we were so angry and tired that we had lost all our patience and we were in a bad mood. We didn't want dinner for free. We wanted to be served properly and pay.

The steaks never arrived.

The owner td us that the restaurant was busy and when I told her that she served other tables who came later she admitted that THEY HAD NOT SEEN OUR TABLE. And that's when she offered to buy us the meal on the house.

Just accept that you were Unprofessional. These are flimsy excuses to make yourselves feel like you actually did your job well. You...

La qualità del cibo non basta, il servizio è importante in ugual misura.. Il “manager” Franco, dopo avergli fatto notare che erano le 22 e che neanche il pane ci avevano ancora portato, dalle 21 che hanno preso la comanda..ci risponde con supponenza “oh ma prima di voi abbiamo dovuto servire altre 80 persone, oggi è sabato” e ancora “amico allora vieni a farlo tu”…io cliente ti ho scelto e sono venuta a mangiare da te, se tu non sei in grado di organizzare il lavoro non è un problema mio, se non sai offrire un servizio di qualità, sei tu che hai un problema, sarebbe bastato un semplice “scusatemi, vado a controllare”. D’altronde è vero che non è un lavoro per tutti.. Da abruzzese vi dico mai più.. Non siamo comunque stati gli unici a lamentarci del servizio quella sera.

Risposta per il proprietario: la vostra risposta bugiarda e diffamatoria dice tutto su di voi. Quella sera, ovvero ieri, essendo che le risposte del vostro caposala le hanno sentite tutti, si sono avvicinati due signori al nostro tavolo allibiti quanto noi per la sua non professionalità e confermandoci anche la loro brutta esperienza nonché quella delle ragazze dietro di loro. La mia recensione era per sottolineare la maleducazione nonché incompetenza del vostro caposala; nessuno aveva fretta, semmai fame e dopo un’ora che aspetto se ti chiedo una spiegazione, ti permetti di rispondermi così, allora caro mio cambia lavoro. Detto questo se non modificate subito la vostra risposta eliminando le cose non veritiere vi denuncio immediatamente alla polizia postale per diffamazione. Ma potevo mai entrare in una cucina ad inveire contro i cuochi?!?ahahahah ma poi per 50 euro e 20 arrosticini! Oltre che incompetenti anche bugiardi e ridicoli!! Alla larga proprio! I veri abruzzesi non sono così!...

Vergüenza.

Qué pena desperdiciar nuestra última noche en Bolonia en este lugar.

Lo primero es que el cubierto y el pan son 2€/persona.

Pedimos:

una tosta (“bruschette”) de verduras (en plural y sin especificar cuáles), y cuando la traen es una rebanadita de pan con 4 acelgas insípidas en lo alto. 2,2€ a la basura.

Una tosta (“bruschette”) de queso y anchoas y traen una rebanadita de pan con un poco de queso crema (strachatela) con 1 anchoita. Este estaba medio rico por lo menos.

Una hamburguesa de salchicha sin pan, con boniato frito frío, cebolla fría y ensalada insípida. La carne buenísima. El resto para tirarlo a la basura.

Un queso a la brasa que no sabía absolutamente a nada.

Cuando llega el queso, aún no nos habían puesto el pan del inicio, así que lo reclamamos. Nos traen 5 trozos de pan, restos de haber cortado rebanadas (los picos del pan) y más duros que una piedra. Le pedimos a la camarera (a la rubia del pelo rizado) que nos trajese un pan comestible y nos dijo que OK… y ya nunca más nos dirigió la mirada ni nos trajo el pan.

Al levantarnos a pagar nos dicen que qué tal y contestamos que muy mal, sobre todo por el detalle del pan y del mal servicio. Nos dicen que nos lo van a quitar del ticket y nos descuentan 40 céntimos!!! Ponemos cara de póker y nos vamos de allí por que no teníamos más ganas de discutir.

En fin, hay miles de sitios a los que ir...
