Caffè Floriam Restaurant — Restaurant in Brescia

I used to love this restaurant and visited frequently when in Italy. However, my last experience was disappointing. I ordered an appetizer, a main course, water, and a glass of wine. Sitting outside in 30 degrees Celsius (90°F) weather, they served the appetizer but then forgot about me. After 40 minutes, my water and wine became warm as I sat there sweating and waiting. When I finally called the waiter, he rushed to the kitchen and they hastily cooked my pasta, which was served undercooked, probably hoping I wouldn’t notice or would just accept it. I left the pasta and wine and walked out. They charged me for the side dish and water without even apologizing for the ruined meal. If you are used to serious restaurants where waiters consistently check if everything is alright and if you need anything else, this might not be the place for you. It seems to depend on their mood. I won’t be recommending this place to any foreign guests. Italy has much better to offer in terms of both food and hospitality. First impressions...

BEWARE OF THE DOG!! During our families visit to Brescia we used tripadvisor as a way to find places to eat. Through this website, we found this place. Upon arrival the owners of the restaurant walked around with their dog. Through our whole dinner service the dog ran around the restaurant with its paws and tongue all over the tables and chairs. When our very average pizza was served (they do not have a proper oven) the dog was set loose. It jumped up on our table and proceeded to lick our plates and eat our food. Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo pranzato oggi 9.10.22 in questo ristorante. Il servizio da subito è stato molto lento e confusionario, persone sedute dopo di noi che hanno mangiato prima di noi, menù che non arrivavano se non sotto richiesta. Veramente molto, troppo lento tra una portata e l altra. Abbiamo ordinato 3 fritti e una culaccia con burrata come antipasti, culaccia e burrata niente da dire, i fritti ahimè erano secchissimi. Come primo abbiamo ordinato 3 casoncelli alla bresciana e 2 tagliolini con code di gamberi. Per i tagliolini tutto nella norma, nulla di eccezionale. Purtroppo i casoncelli alla BRESCIANA erano bergamaschi (capibile grazie al ripieno, i bresciani hanno un ripieno molto semplice a base di pane secco, burro e grana, i bergamaschi al contrario hanno carne di vitello e formaggio) per chi mangia carne di vitello erano molto buoni, ma per chi cerca il casoncello bresciano appunto per il ripieno privo di carne va evitato. Io non li ho mangiati alla fine. Finito ciò aspettavamo qualcuno che ci calcolasse per i dolci o i caffè, passati più di 20 minuti, ancora col tavolo da sparecchiare, abbiamo deciso di andarcene pagando il conto al banco, calcolando anche tutte le altre lunghissime attese eravamo esausti e non soddisfatti.
