This is a very good place for an authentic Osteria experience in Brescia. I had “casoncello/casoncelli” which is a typical pasta from Brescia. It had cheese filling and served with butter and sage on it. It was delicious but I would have to note that it is a bit heavy considering the generous amount of cheese and butter so if you need something lighter choose another one. 😅 The staff was very nice, always smiling and helpful. Although I didn’t take a picture some friends had polenta that comes in 3 big bowls which looked so good so i can also recommend that since polenta is typical from the north Italy. The atmosphere is really warm and overall I really enjoyed my experience here. They also sell local drinks if you are interested. We came on a tuesday night around 22.00 and we didn’t have a reservation but there were a few tables available and they were very kind hosting us. It is also very near to Piazza Loggia, very central. I would come...

Excellent restaurant in the historic part of Brescia... We immediately felt very welcome and the food & wine was the best we had in Italy! Unlike many other places in the city centre of Brescia, the Coperto cover charge was only 1.5 Euro (instead of 2.5-3 Euros in other places) and was only charged for our dishes and not for our 2.5 year old sons... This was a really nice gesture and it is only the 2nd time this happened to us in Italy, as in other places even our small kids were charged the Coperto cover charge and not even getting any bread! We will definitely be back in Brescia (It is such a great place with so much to see & do) and we already look forward to pay another visit to "L'Oste Sobrio"....

We enjoyed a group dinner one evening at L'oste Sobrio ("The Sober Innkeeper") during a recent visit to Brescia, IT. It is a delightful little cafe, indoor and outdoor seating. It was a pleasant night, so the outside seating was pretty packed. Since we were a large group, they gave us a table in the dining room. Service was good, as was the food. Everything was super fresh and made to order. We started with a very nice salad, olive oil and balsamic vinegar topped, delicious... Several pastas were served family-style, all were good, but the pork-based Bolognese sauce was the crowd favorite. We also enjoyed nice red and white wines with dinner. Recommend L'oste Sobrio if you're ever...

A buon intenditore!
