Il Fantasma 2 — Restaurant in Cagliari

This Restaurant is located door by door with another Restaurant.

Because of that we have arrived there without any reservation.

At 8:00 p.m. a waitress was unable to present us a table in the empty Restaurant.

After she has spoken with her colleague we could choose a table.

Then we received the menu card which was already cut and destroyed.

The majority of the offered meals on the menu card are plenty of different Pizze.

It is offered in two different sizes.

The " normal " size which is huge, will be charged with unbeatable 8,50 € !!!

Soon the older waiter with glasses and moustache appeared at our table without greeting us.

Out of the menu card we have ordered a bottle of White Wine, Vermentino.

Two different bottles were offered at 13 € the more expensive one was offered at a price of 15 €. So I have ordered the more expensive one.

Then the waiter returned and informed us that that the chosen Wine is out of stock.

So he has offered an alternative bottle.

We have asked for the price and he has told us that it will be also charged with 15 €.

A few minutes later he appeared with a bottle and said that he can offer it at a price of 18 €...

I have accepted it.

After quite a short time we have received our Pizza with spicy Salami.

The size was huge and both of us were unable to eat all of it.

The presentation was poor.

Opposite the dough was prepared perfectly.

The taste was between okay and good.

The taste of the wine was between average and good.

All of the guests were Italians and no tourists which is a good sign. If locals will feel good then it is a good sign.

Called to book a table on Tuesday night and been told we could only reserve inside. When we arrived a table outside was leaving, so we asked if we could take that table but the manager said it was "kept" for someone else. I thought it must have been someone "special"?!! So, we have been taken to an inside table, with NO air conditioning. Just want to mention that it is full summer with an average of 35degrees in the last 4 weeks, but that night was nice and windy something we have been hoping for a while! After been waiting for 15min at the table, someone realised we were there, and throw at us a few menu. One of us had to get up and went to ask for some drinks. The drinks came but we had the audacity to ask for some sparkling water which quite upset the waiter. The same water came to take our pizza order mentioning that he was in a rush so we had to be quick and make up our mind. We did so, and surprisingly enough pizzas where on the table after just a few minutes. The pizza was nothing special and also it was bigger than the plate. I have been there a few years ago and since then they made this upgrade in sizes calling the new big ones "Gigante" , but they did not upgrade the size of the plates too, leaving the poor customer to deal with this huge pizzas bigger than the plates. Shameful service. Reached the restaurant at 22 and asked if it was possible to have a table for 2 outside. The answer was yes, they told us that they would have cleaned a table for us. We sat down but no one ever approached our table to either clean it or take our order. In the meantime, other 2 tables were served but all these people arrived after us.
