Kremet Gelateria — Restaurant in Cagliari

I really wanted to like Kremet Gelateria. I am visiting Sardinia for the wedding of close friends who recommended I try Kremet in Piazza Yenne. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

The gelato itself was okay—not special, but not terrible. The real issue was the staff. My girlfriend and I (we are both brown) visited twice in the same day, and both times we felt disrespected.

In the afternoon, as soon as we entered, the lady at the cashier immediately told my girlfriend to pay before she had even decided how many scoops or which flavors she wanted. It felt as though she assumed we were going to run away without paying. We noticed she wasn’t doing this with other customers.

When we returned in the evening, the same thing happened. I explained that I needed to see which flavors I liked first, since the pricing changes depending on how many scoops you order. Instead of being understanding, the cashier became rude, and after I asserted myself politely, she swore at me in Italian (which I understood) and made comments to her colleague.

It was a very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. Sadly, the lack of respect overshadowed everything else. I had planned to visit every day during my stay, but instead I will not return and will share this experience here as well as with my friends who are also visiting for the wedding and staying near...

The best gelato in Cagliari- and I tried every place I could find. My fiancee says their pistachio gelato is the best she's ever had anywhere, and she's tried a lot of different places. For me, their mirto flavour was heavenly- not over-sweet, but with a depth and boldness I'd not found in an ice cream before or since. My singular complaint, which is more of a recommendation really, is the gelato will taste different depending on which of their staff makes it, so to make sure you sample the best you should go there once a day or every few days (if you're on holiday). Seems like a new gelateria, it was very popular shop with many flavors and choices. The gelato was very good!

Only thing strange is you have to pay prior (which makes sense) but you have to go to the back of the shop to pay and it makes the shop seem overflowing with people standing around confused, as its not obvious where to pay.

Would be better to put the till/pay area at the entry so people who are waiting to pay are not standing in the way of those who...
